Daydreamer Awakened Edition, made by a one man team and published by atlus, never seen any discussion about it anywhere, I bought it for next to nothing and I whip it out now and again because its quite satisfying to speedrun as you can beat it in under an hour. It looks like total shit but plays fine and has good music.

I played the series when it was still relatively new, the inner workings of the AI were pretty neat to fool around with. Basically it was a networked neural network, the brains were neat little state machines that had sensory lobes populated by the game engine every "tick".

All that said… the community was an early wellspring for weird shit on the internet, founder of wikifur was clearly a huge fan. Some people abused their positions of power over the input of these specs of cockroach brains and had them fight in cage matches and shit

First game I've ever modded as well, the programming language was like if x86asm and Basic had a butt baby I'm not kidding. If you want to figure out how the brains work the hard way… well just turn on all the mutation flags on everything in that organ (pretty sure it's near the end of genome in the exodus genomes).

well fug, I thought I was the only person on the internet who heard of it.

The exact story was a small village became in a constant state of extreme wind, so extreme it had to be evacuated; the storm-like conditions were localised to this one small village and didn't affect the surrounding areas. Your character worked at a meteorological agency and tries to figure out what's going on. It gets all sorts of strange Lovecraft themes as it goes on but I never beat it.

>Do you still have your copy?

File: dbc5cfffadc77f7⋯.png (92.75 KB, 642x402, 107:67, pibb controls.png)

For some reason, in the 90s, Mr. Pibb ran a promo at McDonald's where they were giving away copies of a generally mediocre Doom clone on floppy disk. I played it a couple times but never finished it, then I lost the floppy.

Years later I managed to find the company responsible, got in touch with them, and eventually they emailed me a copy of the game. I was able to finish it this time, but it was pretty much not worth it. Janky and weird controls (just look at this shit; Home to jump?), zero challenge up until the last few minutes (instakill lava pits + awful movement controls is not a recipe for success), and some pretty terrible sound design. But what do you expect for a free game advertising soda?

At any rate, you can see for yourself. Just grab DOSBox and load this shit up:

https://mega.nz/#!9N5gAQgK!HcizhzHO8BZej3RbflifAGyA_xOY2EYv0wRxbyR5FlQ

Alternatively, someone uploaded it with an in-browser emulator here:

https://classicreload.com/mr-pibb.html

Just note that in the browser version, Escape is used to open the menu and to give you control of your mouse again after you click on the window, so to open the menu you'll have to hit Escape twice.

There was three things that the comic did really well, eroticism, artistic craftsmanship and a pretty unique setting. The game only retains the last one, but that was enough to get me to play through it.

I had that game too OP, but could never play it (I think it got too scratched up in the box, or it just didn't want to). They also gave out Roller-coaster Tycoon at the same time, so it was never going to the best. Would have been nice to give it a shot though.

Speaking of games I couldn't play for one reason or annother, I had a copy of Crime Cities, and despite it looking really cool it didn't want to work. Never went back to try it out either. Anyone actually play it?

I had this toy when i was little, and it had like a floppy disk ( I think, or it was a small disc?) with was like an animated introduction/guide to the Tarzan in mars setting. When I remembered it, I tried to find any video to it on youtube, and I had no luck in finding a link to the program….So I cant show it, unless there is some super autist that have it.

I am one on the people (un)fortunate who played Maabus. I think my father bought it, and I and me brother, being little kids, looking at the box cover, and at the games graphics, we thought it would be cool. Of course being little shits, and the game having crap gameplay, we didn't make much progress, and game become almost forgotten; Because since then, I could remember somewhat of the game, but I couldn't remember the name of the game.

I tried searching it, and in more than once, I posted in threads about trying to remember/find games in the chans. But then, Based Ross released video related, AND IT WAS THAT GAME THAT ELUDED MY MEMORIES FOR SO LONG. No wonder the game was so hidden, by being so shitty, and people almost didnt bother to put videos on kiketube.

Yeah I beat the whole thing. Really tough game at the higher difficulties - requires careful avoiding of damage and consideration of when and where you spend the money.

Nice weapon variety and in-depth storyline that I didn't care about. Great soundtrack too (got it on my mp3 player). Only issue is it didn't feel like "open world" at all. You mostly just do missions. It isn't like GTA at all. Wasted potential.

Are you Polish by any chance? I've got the CD from some Polish magazine…

A bunch of obscure games I played were these. I think specially the game Fallen Lords Condemnation is the more obscure of these. It was an action game in which you took three sides, Angels, Demons, or Undead/Souls, or something like that. You could take control of I think any kind of troop from your army (Yes, From General to the lowest soldier of it) And the game was about destroying the enemy armies, or fortress. It was an action game+strategy game, like the game Sacrifice, in which you ordered your troops to attack the enemy. Damn, I cant find much information of this game now, must have been forgotten fast. Lets see if I can get a download link from it. Also, Ienjoy extra derp cover-box.
