Do you have any video games which can put you in trance-like state where everything just werks and nothing else besides the game matters while playing?

I sometimes feel it on racen vidya such as webm related, the tracks and car physics have a nice rythm to them.

ARPGs, shmups, and CUHRAYZEE games tend to do that for me. The occasional JRPG too if the grinding is enjoyable to me.

Souls games make me focus enough that most mental noise is blocked out. I can play all day without getting hungry, allowing for easy weight loss if and when I need it.

Instagib CTF in Quake, UT, or Sauerbraten. I turn on electronic music, smoke ganja, and blather stream of consciousness style with my friends on voice chat.

Driving always does it for me. Speeding down back roads IRL does it better than any game could, but simulators can get pretty close. Dirt Rally is my favorite for this. Also, complex games like Factorio, Dwarf Fortress, etc do it well. Anything with lots of planning and number crunching, really. I only play games like these because it's the only thing that distracts me from wanting to kill myself.
