I feel like this would be a great chill game for /V/. Anything is possible in this even porn, you would just have to hide it from Devs.
They are planning for initially 4 player online but if enough people ask for it possibly more than that so a hangout hub could be made.
Anyone that is lazy for true /agdg/ you can literally search for a nearly limitless amount of assets and just pull things together to make your own games, very easy tools too.

The modelling is pretty unique, the closest thing I would compare it to would be ZBrush.
Only reason I am (((shilling))) for the game is because I hate using blender and I don't want to spend 400+ on a vr headset for a hands on modelling experience. I am currently working on a project in Unity that I am planning to use the models I make in dreams in that, because currently I am a one man game dev team and dreams looks like it will speed up my dev process so much.

Yeah, it's really quick to work with though, so you can make prototypes very easily with it, or just screw around and create something fun in 5 minutes and just throw it away because it only took 5 minutes.

Here's why this game won't work, they got the balance wrong of how much tools you want to give your players for gameplay. This is all for eye-candy. 3D tools requires an overwhelming amount more time compared to making stuff in LBP. Not to mention the barrier of entry with the fucking wii controls and goddam awful UI.
LittleBigPlanet 1 for the PS3 was fucking SPECTACULAR because it provided just the right amount of simple logic nodes that people needed to make cool ass fucking contraptions. You wanted to make something more complicated in LBP1? Exploit and re-create logic gates. The pseudo 2D tools were also perfect for making pretty stuff almost immediately and made focusing on gameplay way easier and faster. This Dreams game looks like it's focusing too much on the graphics side of things. LBP1 also had little porn because it was hard to make anything that didnt come off as silly.

Theoretically yes, they have a hardness scale to materials that define how fuzzy they are. I am unsure of the skybox however as that has always seemed fuzzy from what I have seen. Yeah ive been there aswell. Something akin to a release date is pretty likely seeing as the next best date to announce something like that would be PSX which is right at the end of the year and that would be too far down the road. This combined with how much theyve been amping up the marketing with talking to magazines and other stupid shit makes me believe theyre pretty close to handing it out. So hopefully we will finally get to fucking shitpost in that game. LBP was a pretty cool game despite its shortcomings with a pretty solid editor. Dreams is gonna be that but on steroids so im very much looking forward to what kind of whack shit people are going to come up with. And even if its all going to be crap, even the bad stuff is probably gonna be so varied that it could be interesting in a dumpster diving kinda sort. Its an abstract kind of entertainment. Much like E3.

Technically speaking, its not just one game. But whether its worth buying a PS4 for, depends not only on the quality the community puts out, but also the quantity. Even though both LBP2 and Trials: Evolution used a 2.5D system, it doesn’t seem that LBP2 players were able to make a good level of its counterpart: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nykTKN3lqq4
They are both excellent examples of User-Generated-Content, but it would appear that there was no need to imitate Trials, since the game already existed. Or maybe people didn't bother to add new mechanics that the LBP2 tools afforded them (Riding a motorbike while wearing a Creatinator, for example).
There's no doubt that 'Dreams' will be a success, but are people going to take full advantage of those tools? Or will a mountain of underwhelming content cause people to tire-out while looking for good levels? I suppose we'll find out.

Well happenings are happening in the dreams disagreement server. Apparently there is a former mm employee or intern and he had a blabber mouth and said something about him talking to others and they say the game needs more time but he wouldn't disclose who these other people are so they are probably devs. Looks like another game delay to 2019 hopefully still a 2018 beta.

The LBP games allowed players to move within a 2D side-scroller with a tiny bit of depth. The worlds resembled the Diorama's within shoe-boxes that we’d used to make as pre-schoolers, with a window cut out so you could see the decorated scene (Such as under-the-sea). This was further emphasised in the hub of LBP3. But in LBP2, we saw people work around this 2D limitation by making an illusion of greater depth (First person shooters for example). When Dreams comes out, will we see people breaking the boundaries of 3D? Creating the illusion of 4D objects as their phases (3D model slices or layers) appear when they enter our 3rd dimension. Bending time to show the progression and regression of objects (Time Travel) and altering space in the form of portals. The game Miegakure and 4D Toys are good examples of these things.

Im personally just looking forward to the music tools even though i could just whip open FL and do something there instead. The playful side of it looks neat.
