Last year one anon developed a list of noteworthy video games released in 2017, under the reasoning most of us would miss most of them, and that we ought to encourage people to play what few good video games are actually released these days. After a bunch of screeching, pic related was produced.

I'd like to repeat the process for 2018, since I haven't had the time to pay attention to vidya releases so far but I'm sure there is at least a handful of games worth anons' time.

Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon
Not 10/10 GOTYAY but I really had fun with it. Most of the fun came after I learned that you didn't have to recruit friends, you could kill them for extra abilities as Zangetsu or ignore them completely for a proper hard mode. After that it becomes a fucking proper Castlevania NES game. Trying to get all the different endings is a fun challenge (there are six I think) and the "proper" ending is a nice Mega Man 2 opening throwback.

Chartanon's done a list for at least the last three years if I remember correctly, so you can be almost certain he'll be on the job this year as well.
For noteworthy games, I don't know if I've played that many titles this year that I'd recommend. I have my eye on a few like Chuchel, The Fall Part 2: Unbound, Curse of the Moon, and Prime Mover, but haven't had an opportunity to check them out yet.

Don't bother responding to people unless they provide actual arguments for the games they're shitting on. These types of shitposts are common from the blackpilled/contrarian crowd and they usually fuck off after you question them and probe them even a little, but its usually better to not give them the time of day to begin with.

Anyone try out Wonderboy? The controls kinda feel weird, like there's a delay or lag between your button press and the character movement. Still pretty fun, maybe it's just the new animations. Might be easier to just play it in it's original form.
