Why is there no good battlefield games? Why is no one competing with DICE? I remember back in the day when all of them were at least good, and there were competing games like battlefront, frontlines and joint ops who did various things more or less better, like battlefront having better bots and galactic conquest.
I've bought basically every BF game and they're all the same now. just a big clusterfuck with zero strategy and way too many icons covering your vision. I feel like a drug addict chasing an old high. I think the playerbase is pretty much ruined too, I remember playing BF2 online after getting broadband and random people knew how to use transport vehicles and flank, and play as a squad. now everyone just runs around like a headless chicken in their own little world.
I don't even give a fucking shit about the women and minorities they're pushing, it'll just be yet another clusterfuck running in circles simulator with zero strategy trying to cater to retarded playerbases like pubg, cs, and of course cod. it's not worth anything even before they shit it up with virtue signalling. if they would put out an actual battlefield game with strategy and teamwork it could be about disabled tranny midgets and gay furries teaming up against the alt right lead by hitler and donald trump and I'd still fucking buy it. I agree with Battlefield as a series getting worse. Either that or I've just gotten tired of it and it's not innovative any more. I spent a lot of time playing BF ever since BF2, it was a ton of fun. It doesn't feel like it any more. BF3 was when the whole concept of getting in squads and accomplishing things together with strangers started to disappear, and by BF4 it was basically gone and your squad was just a convenient spawn point.
Bad Company was a low point for the series, since they basically just removed a bunch of features so Battlefield could work on consoles, and then they slowly started to bring them back with BF3 and BF4. And after BF switched from being a PC game first, to being designed around people using a thumbstick instead of a mouse to aim, the series changed a lot and much of the skill was removed.
Even before BF started to go SJW, it started straying from its roots and getting boring. Earlier battlefield games were fun because they tried to be accurate, but crazy shit would happen and the game didn't limit you. It felt like you'd go back in history and fight by standing on the wings of planes or something stupid like that.
Now, BF feels like it tries to be accurate, but you end up with cyborg strong independent woman soldier who don't need to man and Das Shaniqua the SS soldier.

EA abandoned it right at launch, and put ads on the billboards in the game for (((intel))) processors and the Ghost Rider movie, among other things. The patches almost never fixed any bugs, so the game was rampant with exploiters and cheaters. All of the extra maps were just quick re-hashes of BF2 maps, like Tampa Highway and Wake Island (which is CONSTANTLY re-hashed). The people who resurrected the game briefly were vehemently NEBAR DROMPH faggots. I did manage to play a few rounds, but the magic was clearly gone. On pc is has changed a lot, and gets frequent updates. Construction is the major update, where players can construct their own bases along with turrets and spawn points, walls e.t.c. There are orbital bombardment turrets as well, which don't do a heap of damage, but are super fun to use.
The infantry combat is much sharper, LA's are more lethal, given the rocklet rifle so they can be more effective against armour.
I like it, I understand it's not for everyone though.

What really gets my nogging jogging is how obvious the laning is on a lot of the maps, last night i played it and sat and watched the squad I was in run head long into machine gun fire again and again and again in the same lane expecting a different result.

it didn't exist in battlefield 2 really. getting in a good squad in that game was rare as sin. It was the greatest thing ever when you did but it was way too uncommon. the game needs to support lone wolves better because they will always be the majority of players.
unfortunately the thing they opted to do was force everyone in a squad and use carrot on a stick mechanics for squad actions completely ruining any chance of getting a good one entirely.
