Nigga I'm good at smash bros, but not "competitive good".

There's no scene where I live so I'm mostly limited to online play.

Most people on the in-game's online mode eother suck or lags like hell, specially in my region. Whenever I find someone good that isn't lagging, in or without the in-game mode, the game is super fun, winning or losing.

I'm disadvantaged in game genres that don't interest me, since I don't play them. So fightan, racing, 4x, beat em ups and anything that relies on online at all.

Being "good" in multiplayer consist in exploiting the game until it becomes unfun. You can be good against the AI and there's nothing wrong with that. Torneyfags and multiplayer faggots will argue against this.

That depends entirely on how much fun you can have by losing fights and learning from your mistakes. I find that losing sometimes is much better than winning as a learning experience if I can get some useful tricks and strategies from it. If you can lose 100 fights in a day and still have fun, then that's all that matters.

If you're too focused on winning then I can see why that would be an issue.

I got all the 3DS ones excluding the "all stickers/trophies" back when it came out on 3DS. But I haven't bothered with the Solo modes since.

I can't aim for shit. I can go to an aim map and aim like a champ. I can pixel spot really well. God-tier aim in Red Orchestra or anything similar. But up close combat? Lots of movement? I completely flounder.

I used to have a hard time in shooters, when I replaced my old CRT monitor with a small LCD TV. The screen lag is enough that you have to lead your shots significantly even with hitscan weapons. For games like Tribes Ascend or TF2 where you often use slow-moving projectile weapons this wasn't a problem because you had to lead anyways so it just meant a different amount of leading. But for hitscan weapons it changed the weapon's dynamic making it much less effective.

I switched to a PG279Q and have now been able to enjoy a wider variety of shooters and go back to using marksman weapons effectively after years of not being able to. I'd always thought my reaction time had gone to shit as I got older, turns out it was just the screen all along.

I'm terrible at video games so I come here to complain about them.

Nah. I'm hyper competitive and like any game where you fight other people. Learning, improving and totally crushing opponents gives me a very deep sense of peace which I can't get from most SP games. I spend most of my time now playing MP shooters and farming up hackusations.

My personal dream would be to just go back to my old lifestyle and spend 12+ hours a day honing my aim and reflexes. The one greentext I remember from this board is some NEET who played nothing but sniper in TF2 for 12+ hours a day or something, until he started getting banned from a bunch of servers due to extreme aim. That was an inspiring story.

I play with 40 cm/360 and get into short range fights extremely often (as a marksman). Never had an issue fighting up close. The big thing is staying calm and spacing out shots- it's not really about sensitivity. Most tend to panic up close and overaim/underaim, giving you some room to kill.

If being lazy, retarded, and having poor reflexes count, then I am disadvantaged at every game
