I strongly recommend at least playing the second one. Almost 3x the amount of levels, more interesting objectives, more music and more variation with said music. One of the best games ever made, hands down. Beautiful Katamari on the Xbox 360 is just as good gameplay wise but it's very short.

Basically, the DLC is already on the disc, and Microsoft forced Namco to make those levels DLC so the game would only be $40.

Anyone else play Beauitful Katamari for the 360? I think it was the last Katamari game that came out on consoles.

I don't know what it was about this game–maybe the attempt at improving the graphics–but unlike the two Katamari games I played on PS2 this one gave me motion sickness after like 15 minutes of playing it.

I've been trying to find the song that has a chorus that I've not been able to rightly remember. it's a snazzy upbeat tune with a fair bit of vocals, but the chorus has them sounding like they are saying "check it out, a funk it out" and while I'm a retard and that's obviously not what they are saying, I've always remembered it that way.

I haven't been able to boot up my copy because my fucking dipshit father stole my copy

No I believe the last one that came out was a phone game or something, the latest one I've played was Katamari Forever on the PS3 which takes levels from the first 3 games on PS2 and 360 and remixes them. Probably 2nd best next to We Love Katamari in my opinion.

I said last one that came out on consoles, handhelds and mobileshit doesn't count.

That sounds kind of interesting, but ultimately uninspired. The games were already full of remixes of their own existing levels.

I wish I could find someone else who'd played the 360 game. I want to know if it was just me that got motion sickness from it.

I'll be honest, when that beep beep i'm a sheep video was going around, the reference to The Prince rolling a cow damn near made me have a heart attack. Was more effective than any screamer or jumpscare I've been exposed to.

I played the original, We love Katamari and Katamari Forever. I enjoyed all of them, but I found the second one to be the best. Katamari Forever is pretty good too and has a lot of content, but that occasional lag was really annoying.

As for my favorite level, it would be the race track level. I like how everything gets a lot faster and you can't stop rolling. It confines you to the race track, but then you get that katamari big enough and realize you can turn around and fuck up all that shit you've previously bumped into. Also, it gets fucking insane when you play it in drive mode in Katamari Forever.
