Hearts Of Iron 4 has a non-historical mode built in, I've seen things like Communist Greece take over the Balkans and WW2 start because France joined the Comintern and went to war with Italy.

How wrong you are. The most "historic" game is Hearts of Iron 2 which is shephered by events. Any other game is a complete clusterfuck made by the AI.
If you don't want grand strategies, then total war is bretty good.
Sniper Elite where you can shoot Hitler's balls off.
Stalker if you choose to merge with the C-Consciousness.
Fallout is alternate history that split in the 50'.
Darkest off Days where you are doing the Time Squad thing in WW1, American Civil War and shooting up Pompeii with futuristic machine guns.
Singularity with some commies time traveling to bring the Truest of Communisms.

Thank you. I remember playing it for a while on the 360 and liking it. Now, the thing is, I don't remember if it was good or not because I liked how it was one of the only FPS games to take place in WWI and the Civil War. You're hard pressed to find a game that takes place in only one of those.

battlefield 1 was an alternate history timeline and they shoved niggers and women into it.

If it's not ahistorical, then what is it supposed to be? You have WW2 tanks, WW1 weapons, an M60 prominently featured in the trailer, modern kit, etc.
There's really three possibilities:
1. They're trying to be quirky and failing abysmally at it.
2. It's their shitty alternate history wet dream.
3. They're trying to sell people this is what WW1 was really like.
Number 3 isn't really that far fetched considering they'd have you believe everyone in WW1 was running around with assault rifles and SMGs.

Battlefield 1 had nothing to do with history, be it actual history or alternate history. They just made it take place in WW1 to cash on in the backlash from the current sci-fi trend in FPS games, and then filled it with followed by automatic prototype weapons that were never used because "lol its just a video game dude", followed by niggers because "lol black people play games too". There wasn't any more thought put into it than that.
