I hear more people talk about Wildstar than Eve nowadays and its not secret CCP has had layoffs and even their socjus infiltrators are jumping ship and considering it not worth their time.
Now i see they are changing the design of future ships to 'look more cel shaded to appear to younger players' and it made me think how often i hear people drop the game in hours or minutes due to the intro new user experience.
At this point the only people i know playing it are goons and old, greying dudes in their 40's who cannot keep up with the speed of other mmo's combat. Do you think EVE is actually a game where the userbase is literally dying off and there isnt new blood to replace them?
and in terms of sci-fi shit isn't Warframe delivering what the kids not interested in ship combat want from a sci-fi autism simulator nowadays?

You don't hear anything about Eve because nothing groundbreaking new is happening in the game outside from the updates every three months or so. There's no huge wars and no current drama other than the usual stuff between coalitions. The game have had an average of 30k players logged in for the past year so it's no where dead.

EvE has been dying for a long time then it comes back because the players who left always go back. But this time those players are getting to old and do not have time to sit and manage their 5-10 alt accounts so they can have fun on one. That is what will kill EvE in the end, the fact that once a few leave they will lose more accounts because everyone multiboxes in the game. If you don't then you wont get anywhere. Once the Goons and big corps move on then the game is dead since they are the only ones playing it.

My account was worth thousands and I did it on one account without taking it from others. It's very possible and still able to survive all your pvp encounters if you were set up good. I didn't have hundreds of kills, but the tens I did, where worth multi-billions, and not even their pod would be spared in high sec. I allowed my farming ways to stir passion against any enemies and they still do their same shit to this day. Albeit, I sold that account off and now I'm on a new one.

You can solo and kill billions on gates with the right ship but that gets boring fast. I would go with a 10 man group the 3 of us and would have scouts. Every one of us multiboxed and could take on larger groups that way we didn't have to sit at a gate or wardec then wait for it to run out. Once you get to capitalships you need alt accounts or you wont be able to kill those ratters or miners or even cyno in a bomber gang. So, your way gets boring fast and if you have a bad run and lose alot then you have to farm for days in order to PvP again unless you Botmine so you don't have to "wait to get back into the action". This is why EvE never attracts more people, it's because of it's time sink. 75% of the damn game is a time sink just to have a bit of real fun.

I want to add on, I had also plexed my account up to 3 years worth of game time and had multi-billion dollar battlehsips and what not. I'd venture out into wh space and low sec and null sec only via wh. Using a multi-billion dollar loki I could solo up to c4 sites (not all). I ended up losing it to an incursion, but when that gang of 10 sealed off every exit in the wh space, we had a two hour chase. Most exciting time of my game time. I had JUST finished being able to afford my ideal loki and it took me like a month and a half to build up (plex were expensive at the time. They used to be like 100 mil). My heart was beating as if some real shit was about to be lost. I got out, but barely. One of the would be gankers messaged me when I managed to get out into a newly opened high sec link. Apparently they had the time of their lives chasing me, over all everyone seemed to have left okay from it too. I almost got their stealth tackler, but the sleepers switching targets saved my life honestly. I couldn't outgun their group's reps. My shields would literally go from full to empty every pulse with armor and hull slipping away (had an over sized shield booster and very high capacitor regeneration). Sleeper dps combined with theirs and their neuts made it where I had to time pulses with my shields or risk running it one pulse too much and crush it below it's maximum regeneration rate. After that it would have been over, but that was the only encounter that was close that I had with them. Apparently, one of their stealth scanners was just shy of 15km away from one of my safe bookmarks, but according to them, I didn't stay for long. I just had this feeling that if I logged out, I'd come back in a pod.

No, your words. Shit on the Eve if you want but at least use facts. CCP is notorious for making retarded decisions about the game now and then but generally doing alright for a 15 year old game.
As stated, the game is old and one of the few sandbox mmo's still out there that's not a Korean grindfest. A game like Eve would not survive if it was release today but back was the gaming culture different. Due to all the theme park mmo's today so is it one of the few sci-fi themed sandbox mmo's that people can play and the game gives you pretty much total freedom in what you can do.
Though most people probably stop playing after the tutorial since nothing is telling you what to do next afterwards compared to the level and gear grind in other mmo's instead of making your own goals in the game.

No one really cares about how (you) like playing a game. People care about what fun that game can offer and EvE online has limited fun when it comes to end gameplay. (you) may like your play style for now but others don't and would want engaging gameplay. (you) can brag about how much isk you made and how much isk you have killed by ganking or sitting on gate or waiting around for hours to finally get that one kill but others would not wait for gameplay they want gameplay now. As I said, EvE will not attract new players because most EvE players think their play style is the only correct way to play the game.

In eve online, one is seen as nothing more than mere cattle farming isk. They are typically looked down upon. So I basically did the opposite of all the hype I was hearing about the game. I went full solo, got my own moon base with production and everything. I ran missions and basically stayed content doing boring high sec things with excursions into low and wh space, but solely for the pve content not available in high sec. I lost like two ships to pvp. One was by taking on more than I thought, and another was because I was too slow on the warp out after purposefully locking on to a local ganker and firing on him (while he was in my mission. I had seen him on d-scan and got out before he entered, so I came in from behind him as he landed out of warp from the acceleration gate. While he pondered what to do I simply locked on with my hurricane, and opened fire. He stood their in is pod, I assume typing something to get at me, and then I blew that up. He lost over 4 bil in implants.

They were defeated when a balance patch came in nerfing the ability for big corps to just teleport around, making logistics a real thing in the game again. They got contained, could never break out then quit the game. They couldn't even defeat providence which is an RP corp.

Goonswarm is now the strongest entity in the game. World War Bee basically let them go into Delve. After the Citadel came out, they were able to put the strongest citadel in most systems. On top of this they have an incredible supercap umbrella so they can rat in completely safety. They pretty much ended up winning World War Bee by coming out on top with the best region in the game.

I never actually got around to playing EVE, but I would think it's dying because kids would rather play/spend money on a game like fortnite due to it not being a autismo space sim. The amount of time needed to enjoy it is too much and it's easier to play the latest fotm to get instant gratification.
Warframe is successful because DE have managed to pull a "we're not like the other devs" and people laud them as the second coming of christ. After the first 100 or so hours you realize that there's nothing to do, and that DE are only 10% less jewish than the average dev, so I wouldn't advise getting into it if youre done with eve.
