3D todays are in the shit. The graphics are not going anywhere so we are stuck in the uncanny valley, "animators" are from 2 years "video game design programmes" and are utter shit in animating and are lazy because no solid basics in arts and also underpaid so they cut corners.
90s crude 3D are full of life because people who animated them are real animators. Think Crash or Spyro, they made up for the lack of detailed graphics and rigs by staying to the principles of animations and design like instant recognisable colour palettes, and exaggerating motions to be clear. The early 00s tried to expand on it and was getting realistic in terms of animation and graphic then the (((Hollywood))) smelled the shekels in gaming and '07 hit and the rest is history.

Do not let your child near the internet until they turn at least 10.
If they are so: Limit their time and do not allow them to install games without your permission. Optimally don't even let them on a computer to play modern games, go put on some emulators or dig up consoles and make their only games older high quality ones.
In order to keep them from getting antisocial encourage them to actually invite friends over in person to play and not just have internet friends or play with randoms.
But seriously though: DO NOT ALLOW YOUR KID ON THE INTERNET
It will replace you as a parent. I'm not shitting you I've seen this more and more as I've delved into problems being raised with less parental influence does, so many more kids are having problems because they spend more time online than with their parents or irl social groups. The less internet time your kid has the better adjusted he will be the better life he'll lead in the long run even if he is mad about it at the time. He'll probably hate you for taking away his games, but thats what a good parent has to do.
