I think of a fun build in terms of gameplay first then come up with a character that suits them, here's some examples:
>Morrowind - Apex feminist
Bosmer vampire witch with 0 strength, no clothes/items, 100% chameleon when still. No spells that summon minions or directly damage health, instead she used stuff like command humanoid spells to get NPCs to kill each other or reflect to get mages to kill themselves. Inventory management needed for quests was done exclusively through slaves who were either bought or made into thralls. The character was a normal Bosmer who was raped and murdered by a vampire and became an angry naked ghost (which is why she's naked, sometimes invisible, and a vampire). She joined the Morag Tong because it was convenient (since she could become invisible and was otherwise an outcast) but developed a taste for killing men as a continuation of her revenge on her rapist, causing her to become an apex feminist so she began her quest to enslave or murder all men. To this end, she joined the Telvanni to become powerful, became their leader, and murdered every councilor except Dratha whom she sympathized with.
>Fallout 2 - God
Dumped every skill point I could into unarmed and got the perk that increases dodge chance by unarmed skill as well as any other perks related to dodging. Then I got the robe from the le epic bridge meme encounter since it had 20 defense and was lightweight. By the end of the game I could almost never be hit by anything and could kill anyone with mere punches and kicks. I pretended the shitty opening sequence didn't happen and I was god intervening in the events of man in order to keep the enclave in check.
>Fallout New Vegas - The Man with the Gun
Got the maximum base critical chance possible to the point where if I used a certain laser pistol that has a really high critical mult I would crit 100% of the time. It had a cowboy hat of some kind and a duster so he became a lone sheriff: judge, jury, and executioner. He would go around judging NPCs for their crimes and vaporizing anyone who he found guilty. His name was The Man and I renamed the laser pistol in fnvedit to The Gun. I pretended a lot of the player dialogue didn't exist in favor of my own, which was just dumb one liners with judicial terminology: *finishes off last raider in a camp* "This court is adjourned"
