I don't know what you mean by this. Devil Daggers is designed to work around 1 level and 1 weapon which works fairly well IMO and even manages to create something that's unique and stands out compared to other shooters.

Add some ballistics, rebalance hard/survival damage, make the game work with raw input LOL, remove perks, add better animations, overhaul survival and add camping, make the AI smarter and the world more populated, add extra weapons then finally overhaul the graphics and female models. By the way the AI in SoC was very much like CoP's. After the bandit camp raid, literally the first militaryfag you meet points his gun at your face and tell you to fuck off.
By the way, after Strelok disabled the Brain Scorcher in SoC, the Zone opened up for everyone. That's why there's space for every faction to isolate themselves from each other and not have to fight for territory or artifacts so much.

None of the STALKER games are linear. They're based on large areas connected by quicktravel points at the edges (way better than open world garbage too tbh). The only linear part I remember what the ending sequence of CS.
I played CS with GSC's patches and nothing else on my first go. I found no bugs and kinda liked the "social" aspect of the game, talking to folks, making allies, chilling out at the base, holding out a captured camp with your hired bro until reinforcements arrive, etc. It may not have been the best, but I thought it comfiest in the series by far.

I guess Fallout 4 technically counts But the point is that they're far and in-between nowadays. People just do not make FPS' for single player anymore. It's more or less the same game, just without the disgusting neon purple glowing lights everywhere and the 80's a e s t h e t i c s , in fact 3 is a far more competent shooter and has a much better weapon/skill progression, you can actually choose what loadout you want instead of being given set equipment everytime you level up, the outposts are harder (and thus much more fun) to take over, the AI is smarter (assuming you play both games on the same difficulty), the map is much bigger and having the wingsuit available means you can divebomb motherfuckers from cliffs, break your fall on whatever poor nigger happened to pass by and somehow stab him to death without making any sort of noise if you got the right skill, you guys really need to play it on master difficulty, adjust the FOV to your liking, turn off the HUD and treat every single enemy like prey, it's a surprisingly solid shooter, definitely not the kind of dreck ubisoft shits out on a bimonthly basis, it feels like they handed the franchise to a competent studio instead of their in-house team of soyboys.

nuDoom divides people. A lot liked it, personally hated it because of low enemy count and bullet sponges. It's the weakest weapons have ever felt in a doom game. The general attitude of the game is right but they badly botched game design downplaying gunfight and forcing too much their epic finishers. Fortunately there's a demo for that one.
