Unfortunately I doubt there's any chance for an alternative video game board to take off. Seen attempts in the past, and either they get turned into a scapegoat for the more popular board's problems and blasted with shitposting, or if they do survive and get more popular for a while, the decay cycle sets in, and most everyone winds up back on the board with the legacy name, quality be damned.
That's not to say cuckchan is better, or that the traitorous jEWt is better than Wheelzebub or pigfarmer. But it really does feel like this board has become a purgatory. The other options are either dead (check overchan, assuming it still works, for a graveyard of dead imageboards) or cuckchan, and there's nothing better. At this point, I'm thinking the era of imageboards I once liked has been long gone, and not just here, but across the western net as imageboards have gotten more awareness with the masses. mode 1000 configures system devices, but afaik the syntax isn't correct so that might have something to do with it.
%random I'm assuming is basically having the computer compute a random value and then print it (but not display because echo is off) every time it comes across %random%.
It's changing the color because why not.
The real kicker is goto loop because that means the batch file is going to run infinitely, forever. Mode might have something to do with that too because I read it's generally used at startup, so if I'm not totally retarded mode might make the batch run at startup too, completely sinking any chance for revival, and if your hardware is kill then wiping HDD -> reinstall isn't going to help.
Basically, when you run this batch file it stresses your hardware until it fries, assuming your PC isn't arctic cold.

I ran the thing in a VM. It almost did what I expected it to do.
It opened a large terminal with some flashing ASCII art text with a bunch of random numbers on the side. But it also spawned several idle command prompts per second which didn't really do anything. They stopped coming once I closed the flashing window. No persistence. Doesn't autostart, doesn't do anything beyond what I described.
I'm not sure if the guy screeching was just having a bad day or if he was playing along.

If your OS makes your computer overheat so badly the hardware dies, then you have a really shitty OS and any accidental infinite loop in a language like C would produce the same results. What I assume happened instead was echo running a series of commands that were occasionally generated by %random% and killed the computer in some way the retard probably ran it as admin, too, though I don't have much experience with Windows, so I could be wrong. MODE 1000 simply resizes the command prompt from what cursory searching told me.
