This is true, though. Missions aren't exactly difficult. In fact, this game doesn't really require any manner of real time skill. It instead expects you to use foresight and thoughtfulness in order to come up with decent builds for your warframes and weapons. It's a more action heavy RPG, but still very much a stat focused endeavor.

This game is basically Borderlands but without the cell shaded graphics and memes and made by Canadians.

Ember and Vauban could use a little bit of a damage buff too. Or Ember just needs more hp and/or armor. Really just anything to help her scale into late game. Titania too. What pissed me off with Ember was playing with one on my team, especialy survival.

You're in a room, enemies coming in from two sides. You point your gun and… well, no point, he blew up. You bullet jump to collect resources and there's more of them on your back. You spin around, ready your sword and… welp, they blew up too.

Repeat for 20 minutes. It's boring as fuck playing with an Ember on your team. Sarin is almost on the same tier, but atleast you can pop the spores if you're faster.

You know what I considered a fucking chore to play with? Limbo. Goddamn, it's not hard being a good Limbo, but 80% of them actively shit up a mission. But Limbo is simply annoying.

If you get Ember or Saryn on your team, you might aswell pull your gear up and emote for 10 minutes.

Bonus points for the afk Nekros on their side that doesn't move and just descrates with max range augment build.

This is objectively the fastest and most efficient way to farm shit. You can swap the Atterax for the Lecta if you're short on creds, but that's it.

You're not gonna use them. They're not optimal. They don't clear rooms as fast or as aefficiently, they don't give you extra drops/resources. Why would you use anything else other than this?

You know why: because it's fun.

If anything, DE have always been fairly consistent in their philosophy: they don't want people sitting in a room, hammering "4" and raping the reward tables. The fucking Nullifiers came from that. Excavation came from that. Onslaught spam filter came from that. A lot of tiny things in the game are there to give a reason to NOT do that. And when that fails, they nerf the frame.

I'm not even saying DE are correct in the way they did it. I think thematically, Saryn is about poison, so Viral didn't make sense and corrosive does even less. I'd just give her Poison procs. But pretending you're not mad about not killing 60 dudes withtwo buttons ain't working.

There's no end-game, there's no end-content.

If you're grinding for sake of grindin, you're performing an activity you dislike for no reward. At the end of that grind, you'll build a new frame/weapon, level it to rank 30 and put it down sadly because it's not as good in the meta and you gotta get back to the Grind.

There's a point where you gotta ask yourself "Why do I even play this game?" I can't tell you why you SHOULD play the game. I can tell you that I play it because I enjoy the grind. I enjoy playing 50 void relic missions and popping up relics. I don't play those missions to get that ONE specific blueprint. I play them because I enjoy rolling tables and see what comes out.

I play the Plains stuff because I like doing one thing then changing up and do something else in a matter of seconds. You can be mass slaguhtering grineer one minute, then calmly fishing the next and a few minutes later doing a boss rush (Eidolons).

If you play the Plains to farm standing and farm for the amps, you're gonna be bored with it really fucking fast.

For the sake of conversation and not being an ass with you, I can tell you a story.

Back in my Diablo 2 days, I had two friends I played with. One of them like rolling new items, attempting bosses while underleveled and discovering the lore.

The other had his eyes permanently fixed on experience bar. He wanted to level up and he wanted it now.

There two moments that caused our friendship to completely die out.

One day, he hears from some fag in school about armor sets. More specifically, he hears about one barb set that is really good. He tells us about it. Sure enough, it's good I say. But it drops from a boss we already did (I think second or third act). He insists we repeat that boss until it drops. For a while, we had some fun and made some cash farming the boss. But you do it enough times (around 30) and you kinda get bored with it. Especially when there's a new act (we're going to HELL dude, how cool is that?). Add to this that our friend was getting exasperated with the set not dropping and started getting angry because we weren't doing it fast enough. If we were fast, we could have repeated it a lot more times that afternoon and sure enough, it would have dropped then right?

So we have a discussion, he decides to stayback. We go two days without playing with him. But sure enough, it finnaly drops and he rejoins us in hell. But now he's 15 levels ahead of us and the set (that he sucessfully compelted) lets him clear everything that shows up with ease.

The first time we saw Diablo (I was pretty excited for that) was disapointing. We killed him in under a minute. Or to be more precise, he did. And then admitted he already did it alone 35 times because one of the final parts of the set drops from it. And that was the tipping point, he'd rather be "efficient" and "strong" than play with us.

I was 14 back then anon, and I learned to avoid people like him like the devil avoids crosses.

The game IS the grind. You can only reduce it if you replace it with something else. Imagine that you could buy prime parts for Ducats for instance. I'd give it three months before 90% of the playerbase have all the Prime frames and weapons (and crash the in-game economy in the process). By the time that happens, Void Relic missions would turn into Ghost towns.

The only way I can see the grind going away would be with them adding more Hubs/open world to each planet, adding more social interaction between players and clans and moving PVP to the starmap. That would be actual content.

Combined with it having the highest armor and hp of any sentinel, why would I use any other sentinel aside from shade/Helios/taxon in niche cases if I wanted to have general utility? The thing is you're still relying on the AI for pets, which is sketchy at best. Carrier is the only one that reliably does anything and since it has a beefy prime, it has the best survival chance. I don't even bother equipping weapons to sentinels because I don't like needing to juggle two sets of the same mods around in case of a conflict, I'm thinking of sentinels exclusively for their abilities.

And carrier is the only one that's worthwhile for the long run.

If all pets had the sort of control Venari has, then it'd be a step in the right direction but as it is a cat or dog is just a liability unless you spend time protecting it.

Djinn's Fatal attraction is good…when it works. Same for Wyrm's Crowd Dispersal. Shade, Vullock, and Dethcube are meh (I still use a carabus dethcube for fashion on grineer setups), and just aren't worth the trouble in any decent leveled mission. They'll just get blown up and you lose out on vaccum.

On top of that carrier's universal ammo mutation means ammo chugging weapons don't need X Ammo Mutation.

I'd just like the high level game to be more than this. I think the turning point that cause me to be disgusted by high-performing efficient frames was the Limbo rework.

I liked him before but agreed that he was a bother to use properly. The rework was great (dodging to enter the Rift? fucking A).

But the changes to Cataclysm were horrendously overpowered. Have you tried him in Onslaught? Have you see efficiency shoot from 47% to 97% with the press of a button?

It's just not the same game anymore. I was playing an entirely diferent thing that didn't resemble the warframe I played for so long.

Like I said, it's a 2% chance on the hardest bounty of the Plains. Nowhere else.

Assuming you can do one of those every 15 minutes, and you play 8 hours a day, the chances of getting one lens in a day is 47,6%.

That's less than HALF the chances of getting a single lense after 8 hours of doing the same thing over and over again.

It's not worth it. I know I said I liked grind some posts ago, but I like Western grind, not Korean grind. Big diference.

For reference, if you wanted to stick 4 lenses (frame + 3 weapons) to then maximise your focus farming, you'd need to do Plains bounty 8 hours a day during 9 to 10 days. And nothing else.

I got a name for that: it's a job. It's the thing I do to get money and buy stuff.

Eidolon lenses aren't part of the gameplay to me since farming specifically for them turns my hobby into a job I have to work at.

The problem was, the countermeasures were too good, so using Archwing became something you did almost solely for travel. Hopefully this fix balances it a bit so you can actually get some nice cat-and-dog moments where you're trying to take out the anti-air in an area without losing your Archwing. I also hope it means that Vruush turrets will stop targeting Titania in her 4 and one-shotting her with undodgeable missiles.

For eidolons, everyone uses Itzal and blinks like mad to get around. Pro groups have energy pads keybound and will pop them as they're doing this so they never run out of energy.

Titania with razorburn or whatever goes extremely fast across the plains if you aim down and hold space. Try not to kill yourself.

In general, you can abuse operator teleport to get around. Pop out your nerd and have him touch ground to mark the spot, then go back to your frame, go somewhere, and when you want to teleport back, jump into a hole or whatever and pop him out again so he gets reset back to his last "good" position.

Zephyr is apparently also useful but is garbage so who cares.

I would recommend getting your amp on, and it's the easier of the two in my opinion, but you only really need one and that's equivalent to one weapon. Well generally you just go onto the plains at night and look for the eidolon. Get some lures and charge them by kill vomvyalysts (their icon will be blue when they are charged). Then you use your amp to take the eidolon shield down and then shoot the synovias (the joints basically) until you get them all. Once you do that the whole eidolon will be vulnerable and you can capture it (it will sink into the ground when that happens). If you don't use lures it will teleport away whenever you break a synovia and instead of capturing you will kill it and get less rewards.

Equip Pressure Point on all of your melee weapons as a baseline to increase their damage by a good amount. If you go into the mod screen and check the left stat table for the weapon, you'll see it's damage types broken down into various categories. For example, let's take the Pandero secondary. It has a base damage of 72, and this is broken up into 18 impact, 18 puncture, and 36 slash damage, or a 1/1/2 ratio you can also think of it as 25%/25%/50%. If we add a max rank Hornet Strike +220% to base damage we get values of 57.5 impact, 57.5 puncture, and 115 slash. Adding any additional damage mods, like a +90% elemental mod, takes the buffed Hornet Strike damage and adds it as that type of element. So in our case with a max rank Hornet Strike, the Pandero has 230 base physical damage, and adding a +90% electric mod adds 207 electric damage, for a total damage of 437. Adding another +90% mod (like toxin for corrosive) buffs the damage by another 207, for a total 644, of which 414 is corrosive damage.

The greater the percentage of a specific type of damage, the higher the chance that damage will appear as a status when status procs. In our case with our Pandero, there is about a 2-in-3 chance that corrosive will proc, and that last 33% consists of about a 16.5% chance for slash to proc, and an 8.25% chance for puncture or impact to proc. If we were to add a +slash % damage mod to our Pandero, then it would shift the ratios around, increasing the chance of slash proccing with a resultant decrease in the chance that corrosive, puncture or impact would proc.

So in that sense, adding more of a kind of damage will increase the chances of seeing that sort of proc occur. However, physical damage is different from elemental damage. Adding a +90% elemental mod will net you a pure gain of 90% damage, but adding the same mod for slash on our Pandero will only increase the base slash damage by 90%. So starting from the Hornet Strike 220% damage total of 115, adding a 90% slash mod will increase the slash damage to about 218, for a gain of about 103 slash damage. Compare that to a 90% elemental mod, which gains double that amount since it's using all of the damage of the weapon as it's baseline instead of just the slash damage. So if we assume that our Pandero has a 50% status chance, and we're using the above chances for corrosive, slash, impact and puncture to proc, then out of every 100 shots, 50 will proc status. Of those 50, about 33 of them will be corrosive, about 8 will be slash, about 4 will be impact, and about 4 will be puncture.

In short, always run the pure +% dmg mod for each weapon type. That's Serration for rifles, Point Blank for shotties, Hornet Strike for secondaries and Pressure Point and Primed Pressure Point for melee. If you want to go for status chance, use the gold colored dual stat mods, which add up to 60% elemental damage and status chance to the weapon. If you want raw damage, go for the 90% elemental mods instead.

One last thing; when it comes to physical damage, it's usually expressed in short hand as IPS, which means impact/puncture/slash. Most physical weapons have all three, but some weapons only have 1 or 2. When it comes to buffing that damage, you can only increase a physical damage if the weapon already has that kind of damage. I.e. the Sonicor only deals impact damage, so adding a +slash% mod won't do anything, cause it has no slash damage to increase. In that sense, physical mods and elemental mods are different from one another, since an elemental mod will always increase damage regardless of what the base damage type is.

Well, there's one very positive thing for her.

Changing her damage to Corrosive means she's great for the rest of the team. Mass deletion of armour against grineer (and some of the harder Corpus proxies) means everyone else is dealing a lot more damage on your team.

You might be sad now, but I think DE just shot themselves in the foot and will take a couple of months to notice: when people start rolling around with 3 Corrosive Projections and a Saryn using one of the many 100% status chance Viral weapon, I can see Steve or some other DE stooge crapping their pants at the 150 Bombards beinge deleted by any Mk-1 weapon.

The Saryn players crying should look at the Ash players before speaking.

You could bullet jump in the air, press 4 and watch 127 diferent instances of finisher damage killed off half the enemies in a room. Anything that survived had to deal with your 3.5x melee multiplier.

All this with the press of a button.

If Nully-covered bombards cause you problems, I think you're playing the game wrong. Most of the actual "strategy/tactics" in horde shooters is prioritization. The moment you see a nully, you should drop everything you're doing, pop it with some fast-firing weapons, jump and slam attack it. Nullies don't have a lot of health by themselves, but they create lots of problems if left alone.

There's a lot more to skills/frames than kill count and damage per second.

Nah, I dislike it visually for the same reason I dislike "flails" in this weapon.

Flails are great when the end is visibly "flailing" around the place, dangling from your hands, hitting the walls and enemies with proper physics. Otherwise, the Atterax is just a grey cylinder that performs the standard whip animation. It's not ugly texture-wise (that's the spores, those things need a serious update and some lightning passes) but it's ugly in an animation sense. There's no "weight" to it, it's like flailing a piece of rope.

There's also the fact that the Atterax along with the Ripkas you mentioned would fit a Mad Max movie better than "Super Advanced space ninjas". It's low tech and I don't see why Tenno would use such primitive technology.

The same weapon but with plasma blades instead of choppy metal bits would work a lot better.

I would think about maybe dropping Equilibrium for Steel Fiber, since it'll help make you a lot tankier and Nidus has good base armor to take advantage of it. Also maybe swap out Firewalker for Cunning Drift for the extra range on an Exilus slot.

Otherwise, go with what >>14788484 suggested and try and get a Transient Fortitude to boost your power and kill your duration a bit. Nidus scales power with his infested stacks, so more baseline power equals more nuke power from your 1 as you gain more stacks. Plus with decent eff like at least 130% you gain power back per use of 1 as long as you're hitting at least 3 enemies, and with Parasite active on something, that just requires 2 enemies to be hit.

I dunno, I always called them normalfags. The only reason I can see a new term popping up is if non-imageboard comunities are catching on to the phenomena and created their own desgination (since [x]fag doesn't work outside imageboards).

I'm not seeing a diference though. The bugmen of today are the normalfags of yesterday. The only diference is a bigger iPhone and some wear pink scarfs now, I guess.

I don't really have a weapon collection, past a maxed out Paris Prime, Ignis, and Penta I could use some variety. I don't even know where to begin for primary let alone secondary or melee.

Any reccomendations for generally good stuff? Is Despair worth building at all if I have the blueprints?
