Too bad it isn't used a lot in the actual game, mainly because there are only six tracks in the game that are meant to adapt to the game's action, but only through triggers in the game's maps making it impossible to hear the beginning of this song during combat.

Oh yeah, and the combat section for that song isn't even in the upload. The CD soundtrack is missing some compositions but it improves on others from the PC version's sequenced files.

Great example is this. This contains a version of the Maritropa combat theme (named "hard driving" in the game's source code) that sounds a lot better than in-game, I guess due to the lack of effects in the music's MIDI composition program.

It is also missing the calm theme in its full form, as heard in-game.

There is just a lot to Shogo than meets the eye at first glance. It might now be known as a flawed and a bit ordinary FPS, but it was going to be much, much more. Features were to be implemented from on-foot stealth to AI that can simulate emotion in combat. The biggest thing that was cut was a grander plot that was going to adapt to the player's actions more than what was eventually implemented (one decision near the end of the game). The dev team bit off more than it could chew and Blood 2 had the same issue.

My best guess it was a common voice sample between the two and the one in Shogo has been filtered somehow. In the Shogo's files the "weird sounds" are known as "VOX," so its still voices. But yeah, it sounds very similar.

also data degradation is real, always backup your important stuff even if it seems like everything is working nicely, it only takes one bit flip to ruin a file
