Many bosses drop frame parts. Buy simaris scanners in the relay and scan the shit out of plants and cephalon fragments, build up the 50k for the rechargable, you'll thank me later. Marketplace has a ton of blueprints that do not cost platinum. Join a clan if you can if only for reusable blueprints on gear. If you feel you must buy plat rather than trade for it, wait for a 50-70% off coupon to drop on daily login. Wall latch by aiming while against a wall.

Color-wise on primes, the Orokin aesthetic with it's white and gold, or black and gold, is the main scheme you'll see. As a general design rule, this anon gets it >>14760494. Sleek lines and curves with a minimal amount of hard angles, usually used sparingly if at all. Stuff like Nyx's "resonator" headpiece, or Excalibur's "horn" or Banshee's shoulder spike all give an accent of something that is often at odds with the more natural, organic shape of their respective frames.
That's another general aesthetic point about the warframes and the Tenno; organic shapes, mostly symmetrical, with occasional dashes of asymmetry thrown in as appropriate. Contrast this to the hard lines of the Corpus or the grittier, ad hoc designs of the Grineer. Tenno/warframe stuff can be considered more aesthetically pleasing in a classic sense, while Corpus stuff gives off a very "mass-produced for the lowest cost and highest profit" vibe, and Grineer stuff oozes "cobbled together utilitarian."

One thing I think that creates the feel of everything being tied together thematically despite wildly different colors and designs is that each warframe feels alive. You get this sense, for example in the third picture there, that Excalibur is looking AT something, and in that look there is intent. I find Mirage is a great example of this, as her "face" is actually more of a mask, while a closer inspection reveals her eyes are actually smaller and more oddly placed than your first impression of her helmet would lead you to believe. So there's this intent of, in her case, trickery and misdirection. Excalibur and Rhino, Inaros, Atlas, Saryn and Ash to a lesser extent all have a commonality in that they appear very "forward" looking, in that their movements, their posture, their everything is about charging into something. The flavor of that changes based on the frame Atlas as a brawler, Ash as the assassin/samurai, Saryn as a toxic mass crashing into her enemies but the overall feel remains consistent. At least to me.
Likewise, Nyx, and Nyx Prime especially, is similar to the way Mirage looks for her helmet. Only instead of a false "face" you see the eyes on the Nyx Prime helmet are again farther back than you would expect, and when looked at head on, you can barely even see them directly. Meanwhile, on her head you have this very obvious protrusion that draws the eye while simultaneously serving as a conduit for her power. So whereas Mirage confuse and tricks with with her looks, Nyx causes you to look ever closer, fitting well into her "hypnosis/mind control" theme.
You can do a break down of this about all the frames I think, and come up with similar conclusions. A great deal of planning went into the design of each of these frames, especially the primed versions.

Hooded, to deal with inclement weather. As an archer and stealth type, keeping outside distractions down to a minimum is key, and this keeps water out of the frames optics. Speaking of her optics, the large blue "eye" that encompasses the center of her face is something that is both odd and incredibly terrifying at the same time. Imagine seeing just a single, barely-visible blue ring looking at you from the darkness somewhere. Easy to pass it off as a trick of the light, especially since all she has to do is turn slightly and the light of her eye drastically diminishes. In other words, you only see the light clearly when she's looking straight at you. The rest of her design aesthetic seems to be very "camo" in the sense that there are no specific hard edges outside of her face and her shoulder arrow holster, and the coloration provided is gradient in a way that makes sense in a natural-world way if you look at a lot of animals in the wild, they are darker at the top and lighter at the bottom of their bodies.
So for Ivara, I get it.

Flow is situational for each frame.
On frames with sustained abilities, it's good. Get your 500 energy, turn it on, enjoy the next 5 minutes of Pendulum Narta while everything dies/ is healed/ is slowed/bursts into flames.
the Armor Mod isn't usefull in all frames either.
It's a +XXX% increase. Rhino, with 150 base armor benefits a lot from it. Mag, with 80 base armor doesn't, for instance.
Vitality pairs well with armor (since armor only reduces damage to your health).
Low armor? Don't use Vitality. Use Vigor if you got it so you're atleast a bit resistant to Toxic procs.
Shields are an entire diferent way to play. You can't stop, you can't stay in sight of your enemies for long. Shield regen mods help, but frames with powers to regen shields (and sentinels with that mod that regens 100% of your shields) help.
To put it simply:

For bulletjumping around, going fast and never stopping
>Vitality+Armor
For holding your ground, stomping around and going slow/not going at all.
Frames in the first category work best for Rescue/Spy/Exterminate Missions.
They also excel against grineer (craptastic aiming)
Frames in the second Category work best in defense, survival and mobile defense.
They also work great against infected (more resistant to toxic procs).
You can also specialize in shields + armor + vitality. But in doing so, you sacrifice a lot of ofensive power.
Lategame is all about killing faster than you're killed. If you take too long to kill an enemy, the room you're in will quickly flood with enemies.
Sure, they're "plinking" you for 20 damage at a time, but 50 of them will "plink" you for 1000 damage, got it?

Levelling Vitality is your best bet for now.
Excal is good for armor and health (good base values).
The last few levels of Vitality and Steel Fiber might consume too much Endo and credits for you (since you seem pretty new). But level them as far as you can.
Remember that you can use the same mod on future frames, so this is one of those investments you wanna do early to save yourself some headaches further down the line.
If you need Credits, The Index in Uranus is your best bet. Save up 50k, play it with other players in the hardest one, earn 250k everytime.
Word of warning: it might take you a long, LONG time until you get a frame geared up to reliably score and help out. Until then, just try to help teammates. Corpus Broker's are no joke.

First off, level up your Aura's to maximum if you plan on using them. They grant you extra mod points, so in your case you're missing out on 3 additional mod points that you could be using this would double to 10 total instead of 5 total if you have the matching polarity in your aura slot.
Secondly, if you're on PC I can help you out with a few basic quality of life mods. I think I have an extra Medi-Ray as well, which will go a long way to keeping yourself alive.
Thirdly, all those levels on Redirection are nice for certain frames, but in general health beats out shields. Try and get your Vitality to about that same level and you'll find yourself doing a lot better.
Drop the elemental resistance mods. They may be better than nothing, but dropping both of those would let you slot Constitution, which has a pair of good stats on it. You can also slot in streamline since more eff is always better up until you're at 175% which is what eff caps out at.
To review:

Here's what I run on my own Excal, with the idea being that my Hunter's Adrenaline makes sure that my energy is maxed before Quick Thinking kicks it. I also have life strike on my Exalted Blade to gain health back quickly.
I suggest focusing more on Vitality than redirection, as that will give you more EHP, and staying away from resistance mods all together.

Limbo, Nidus/Inaros (with Rage) and others solve their own energy problems.
But Excal falls into that category of frames that use their powers whenever they have power, but mostly fall back on their weapons 70% of the time.
Pretty sure a lot of people here were that shitter Excal that spammed Exalted Blade in sorties because his regular weapons were un-potatoed crap and did nothing.

That's normal anon. There's a lot of crap in this game to keep track of. What that guy is using consists of a +melee dmg aura (Steel Charge) with an exilus mod (Coaction Drift) that increases the strength of his aura. He pairs this with Vitality for more life, Quick Thinking (QT) which uses his energy pool as life if his life hits 0, then Continuity to up his duration, Blind Rage to drastically boost his power (at the cost of lowering efficiency, which he makes up for partially with Streamline), Flow for more energy, and Chromatic Blade augment, which changes his Exalted Blade's damage type based on the color of his energy (reds for heat, purples for electric, whites and cold blues for ice, greens for toxin). Finally, he rounds this out with Hunter Adrenaline, which is a mod that grants you energy when you take health damage. This works great with QT and Exalted Blade, since as his health is going down from damage he is constantly gaining energy.

To be honest, I don't know how the other trees play really. Aside from Naramon which I abused briefly in the old Shadow Step meta from time to time I've always enjoyed the energy regen on Zenurik. You don't put out as much damage as you think you should, and it's hard to get used to the "blind" thing on leaving void mode.
But then it kinda clicks when you find the right sequence:

>dash thrugh enemies to panick them with fire
>pop out of void mode to blind nearby bombard
>switch back to warframe and perform finisher (boosted finishing damage from how long you've been in void mode)
Insta gibs a lot of things.
Void dashing to set things on fire is also a neat way to resposition yourself, disable a line of enemies and proc some Arcanes that activate when you proc elemental procs (fire in this case).
I've often poped the kid out to do Voidblasts. One to knock shit down, then a charged one to obliterate hard hitting stuff/lots of mobs in the same space. It also tosses a fireball that deals even more damage.
Overall, it's just masked CC with damage mixed in. Madurai might be the school that most demands you to leave the Warframe and constantly switch between both playstyles.
Sure, The Operator is strong enough (with the right arcanes) and the Warframe too, but switching back and forth between both really, REALLY makes you OP.
I kinda wish Warframes took some sort of A.I. while we walk around with the Operator. Maybe in the next quest, since it aparently focuses more on what Frames are and I'm pretty sure they're sentient.

See, I don't get that logic. Melee, as it stands now, works just fine. It takes a bit to build up in most cases but once you get going it functions just great with a variety of builds. Higher end sortie shit needs Blood Rush or CO or Meme Strike or something similar, but even then the power of an increased combo counter on the damage you get from melee goes a long way. I really hope they don't break something that isn't broken in a misbegotten attempt to make it "better."

I haven't built her, but from reading the wiki, it sounds like range would mean:

The problem is that the base values aren't that great.
The 4 meters for prowl will turn into 8, but 8 meteres isn't that great. The bubbles go from 5 meteres diameter to 10 meteres if you max it.

It's a channeled ability so sacrificing some duration in favor of range might be good doing something like a solo survival, since the steal can generate extra air drops. If you're using concentrated arrow you want range anyways since the explosion's radius is determined by it.

She's better loki. You can build for a real permanent invis and spin2win with a song that has a note on every beat as the spinning refreshes the buff. Infinite energy and can also self-buff her weapon damage. Also useful for infinitely scaling damage via mallet if you're ever bored enough to want to solo to rank 9999.

Once you beat War Within killing sentients becomes much easier, but that first encounter is a bitch. If possible, bring a high damage-per-shot weapon sniper, Opticor, even the Tonkor can work to try and overwhelm the sentient with raw damage before it gains resistance. Fast-firing shit like the Soma Prime or pretty much any other automatic weapon is trash against sentients until you can wipe their immunities.

Defense and Interception, no, since you can just choose to extract after each 5 waves/full round. Survival and Excavation, yes. You won't get to choose anything else if you don't have a relic, but you will get survival rewards like normal on the reward table. Most people won't stay past 20 minutes or about 1200, at least in pugs, since you can't guarantee you'll be able to do too great in a pug of randos past 20 minutes/1200 cryotic depending on the starting level of the endless anyway. If you plan on doing an endless fissure that's Excav or Surv, try to make sure you've got at least a half dozen appropriate relics so you can continue to partake and stockpile rewards and traces.
