I borrowed and played my friends copy of Yakuza Kiwami and I didn't like it, especially that gay fucking ending. Why the fuck did that dumb little shit leave the puppy on the street after taking care of it for so long? Its just going to get pelted with rocks again just like how she found it. There was absolutely no point to that in the story and there was no point for the dog to even be part of the story at all. The fact that she abandoned the dog like some kind of heartless fucking chink made me hate her and never want to touch a Yakuza game for a while. Also I hated how pretty much everyone I liked in the game dies, it just made me feel like shit through and through and the ending wasn't satisfying at all for me, even if it tried to be a tear jerker, those only make me feel like shit. I didn't really like the combat system and finding sidequests was kind of shitty since I knew that I was missing out on juicy content but they are seemingly random so I couldn't get to do a bunch of em.
Yakuza games just arent for me I guess.

One thing to keep in mind about Kiwami is that's basically just a HD uprez of the original Yakuza, so the gameplay is straight from the mid-2000s or whenever.
What I'd suggest, anon, is for you to play Yakuza 0. Until 6, it was the most-recent full Yakuza game, and it's damn good. (Many say the best in the series.) If, after playing that, you still can't have fun, then yeah, yakuzy isn't for you.
