about 30 hours in, having a blast. and yes, actual ONLINE NOT LOCAL coop in a roguelike. stability is a bit on the shite side but its getting constantly updated so shrug i guess? gameplay is solid, gunplay is sick with multiple classes and playstyles, effects take a fucking huge dump on pretty much all competition in this genre.
a bit rough around the edges but fun once you get into it. mostly drooling over the coop aspect since nearly every single roguelike i stumbled upon offers local only and it is killing me inside, likes of neurovoider or death road to canada lmao

I really like Synthetik. I would play it more if the performance weren't so bad. When playing multiplayer, about every second in the later levels I get a huge frame skip, and out of the 6 times my friend and I have reached what we believe to be the last level, 5 of them ended with crashes. Other than that, the game just needs some more boss fight variants.

Rampage Knights is a roguelike beat em up with an online mode. I thought it was decently fun, though it's kind of easy and doesn't have nearly as much variety as most other roguelikes have. Though the latter is arguably a plus compared to how stupid some of these games can get and how much luck you can need to actually get anywhere.

It's fucking easy to know if a game is a roguelike, if it plays and feels LIKE ROGUE it's a roguelike. If you are incapable of playing a game for a short time and knowing whether it's a roguelike (a game that is LIKE ROGUE) or a roguelite (a game that borrows elements from roguelikes, usually procedural generation and permadeath) you're either a subhuman or have never actually played a roguelike because you're a faggot. Brogue (https://sites.google.com/site/broguegame/) is a roguelike, it is stated to, and plainly does take direct inspiration from Rogue. Nuclear Throne is a roguelite, it features procedural generation and permadeath but does not play anything like Rogue.
If you still cannot grasp this, go back to sucking dicks in an alley and stop shitting the place up. Rembrandt paintings look like Rembrandt paintings, if so inclined you can articulate why this is, but if you have two brain cells to rub together you can recognize a Rembrandt painting without referring to a list of bulletpoints. The same applies to roguelikes.
TL;DR: If you still can't comprehend the difference between lites and likes after playing some of each you should probably pursue a career that doesn't require higher brain function.
