Also the over the shoulder camera in games these days prevents from seeing the guys ass in the first place.

If you don't give it much thought, it makes sense. Until you actual look at third person shooters and how far down the screen you have to look at the ass in the first place if even you can see it at all with over-the-shoulder camera. Generally you're looking at the middle to upper half of the screen unless you need to look down, like what's below a balcony or the floor itself because crawling enemies. Even the ps2 era games like hitman 2, where the "i don't want to stare at man ass" was more applicable you would be starting at cue ball head not his ass. The only time where unintentional ass staring could happen often is n64/psx platformers which you guessed it, includes tomb raider, since the character's torso not the head is in the middle of the screen. In mario's case it's because he's rather small, in lara's case it's because they want you to see her whole body. The "staring at the guys ass" problem has been long fixed even before 4chan existed.

Non-mainline Final Fantasy games are the right answer. Tactics is good. You can recruit an all female team and the most broken named character is a girl (Agrias). It'll inform your stats, though. Women are shit at melee but better with magic.
For something really grindy, pick up a $10 used copy of Final Fantasy Explorers. It's basically an MMO with only local and instanced online multiplayer. You make your own character, so you can make your waifu.

The abilities Orlandu has that Agrias doesn't don't really add to his utility. Why break armor when you can just outright kill a motherfucker with a 999 damage Lightning Stab? The real key, though, is that Agrias can equip the female-only accessories like the Tynar Rouge which gives her permanent buffs of almost every kind. Combine with Excalibur for permanent Haste, Eschuton II, and the Chemist's passive that makes your gear immune to sundering, and she's fucking invincible.
The situation got even more ridiculous in War of the Lions where Dark Knight became a job you can acquire normally. It gets Gafgarion's attacks, which are dark-themed version of Agrias'. Sanguine Sword lets her heal an amount of damage equal to damage dealt to one target, which can easily be 999, making her self healing, and the next version does the same thing to MP, making her completely self-sufficient. And while Orlandu only gets the two moves Gafgarion had, Dark Knight has a properly built out ability list that starts including things like fan and sphere shaped AoEs for dealing with crowds.
She's basically a full party on her own. Melee juggernaut, tank, doesn't need buffs because she always has them all anyways, de facto blaster caster, and then you throw Teleport on her and she's even got mobility down. You can solo the game with her, reliably.

The only issue I found with Celeste is that it just feels like it never ends. A sides can be a bitch later down the line, B sides can be super frustrating, and then there is c sides which I havent even touched. Technically, for the final story beat in the heart of the mountain, you need to do all those. That final level gates you unless you finish all the levels. It makes the game feel like a monotonous chore after the credits roll if you do everything post game, and makes the difficulty progression suddenly sky rocket and drop like an anvil if you decide to 100% every level as you go along.
