No class is worst in EDF son. It is all about taste. I love fencer and Wing Diver, none are easy to play, but both have more options. I would not ever say Air Raider and Ranger are bad because they have very different, and crucial uses, like how both are the only ones able to heal themselves and others. Or pilot vehicles.

I honestly liked the japanese VAs in EDF5, due of how story-driven the game is, with the recurring NPC characters (the Sergeant and its squad, the Grim Reaper Fencers that seek glorious death in battle, the cutie Support Operation girl that you hear in the radio starting mid-game, etc).

Why though? You either import it now for console or you wait for the PC release. There is absolutely no reason to get the English console release for a game that even a brain-dead retard like me can play without knowing any moon at all. You get absolutely nothing out of the English release, instead you just end up waiting longer to play a game you can play right now and still have to pay extra to play online. Well, first off we haven't had the slightest clue of when it gets ported to PC. Remember, it took them a year to get 4.1 to PC so i'm not going to loiter around a year for that, and i might as well get the PS4 version just so i could play it in the next few months to come.
Second, having moon as a language detriments my enjoyment of it therefore i'd rather have an english version. Importing the fucking thing costs me tons by the way, so the English Asian release is a big, big, plus for me. Yeah, i'm a poorfag and i distrust digital downloads unless its priced way below the physical version.
Third, i got suckered into the PS4 and i might as well use subscription just to play. My PC is there only for playing old games and TF2. While 4.1 is well optimized and runs buttery smooth on most computers, My PC is 7 years outdated and the framerate drops to a slideshow everytime i'm playing those tunnel missions.

There are tunnel missions but they aren't as dark as the ones in 4.1. Basically fully lit which I think is shit. The darkness was the best part about the tunnel missions and also made having lots of npc allies useful since they'd light up enemies for you. There's also missions that take place within underground structures and can transition into above ground battles.

Acquire proficiency. Their chainguns were always good for tearing through things and never running out of ammo, even moreso with posts. At the very least, they serve for getting you to high places for easier targeting and can protect you from stray ants. They are significantly better in 5 though, especially the burst variant as you can just flinch lock and pierce entire swarms and big dudes while giving zero fucks and collecting boxes. It pretty much carried me through hard and was one of the best things to use for flying frogs. If for some reason you are getting your shit shot up, you can even put bunkers on vehicles now and they will practically make you invincible. The rocket variant is probably the weakest choice, outside of the DLC variant, simply because it cannot pierce targets, will obstruct your vision, and can easily destroy itself if you aren't careful.
There are both tunnel and bunker missions. They are more difficult than previous tunnel missions, but you also have more tools to deal with them. You will also be happy to know that the Flame Nyx is probably the best vehicle air raider gets due to its high mobility, damage, and versatility. There's a Laser Nyx that is like a heavier flamer, but trades the shotguns for longer range beam cannons.

The armor grind is not so bad now, I am on mission eighty-two now and almost all four classes have a thousand armor each. (I have only played on normal)
