Voulmen Hydragyrum is a super-useful CE, especially on Berserkers. It can turn already tanky ones like Cu Alter and Herk into even tankier Berserkers. Though obviously Cu Alter gets more out of it, since Herk has his bond CE.

They do! Mashu increases all drops by however many to her Ce allows, Rulers increase all drops to the Solider Classes (Saber, Archer Lancer) And Avengers increase drops to the Calvary ones. This is only when they have a gacha CE attached though, so if you have a 5star CE, slap it on Mashu.

They're limited as in you can't get them through normal grind, but events always give at least 1 Lore for clearing them, and most times additional Lores through event shops. I hear Rare Prism shops also stock one Lore per month in the future. You're gonna need them if you want to max your servants' skill levels. Basically get all the Lores you can, but don't worry too much if you miss out on one; chances are you'll get more in the near future.

You can't 100% the event yet because some content is time-locked, but for me, I'm pretty much done after 3 days.
You're stuck using the event Servants until you get enough of the Event CE, His Rightful Place. Then you can just use whatever you want. Try and unlock the later waves on the map before anything; you don't even have to grind for Tokens when you unlock enough.
Also I feel retared wasting 4 10-rolls for Jalter when I could have saved it for this event. I swear if I don't roll Kerry….

Since the very first event with an event servant, Halloween. It's even specifically mentioned that we drag Shiki along with us when we're done with hers too and they have a slight conversation about asking her if she wants to come with them. The reason you can't summon event servants via Chaldea summon is because of this, you are physically taken them back from the singularity. However, these singularities are special. They aren't part of the "primary branch" that Chaldea is attempting to cover, each event is a singularity, but in a secondary branch. Thus, given enough time, they will get trimmed. This is why all of these events are optional, and even if we take back something from those events (Elizabeth, Shiki, Irisivel) it's not really important to us in the primary branch. While if we take back Nero, shit is fucked up because that singularity is a part of the primary branch, and we can't just take Nero before she dies and properly becomes a servant.
If you're wondering why we bother going into these optional singularities at all, that's all due to Gudako and co not being able to let things rest and having good guy complexes to correct even those, in addition to recovering grails which is Chaldeas mission.

It should be noted here that not every Event Servant is dragged along. Rider Kintoki, Assassin Scat, and a bunch of others are just the Servants we have in Chaldea (the assumption being that we've summoned them in their normal states). Pretty much every Servant you see in an event is loitering around somewhere. This is why you can support summon them - You technically have them.
There's also irregularities like Santa Lily, who is Jeanne Alter turned smaller and less vengeful because of potion bullshit. The Christmas event is partially getting the Throne to record her as a unique entity, so you can summon her, rather than her being erased once she goes back to being normal Jeanne Alter.
Of course, even non-event Servants have irregularities. Merlin is just using IM, and isn't really your Servant in any sense of the word; Saber Shiki is quite likely doing the same thing (assuming she is not, in fact, Shiki's occasional Magical Girl transformation - which is entirely possible).

I curb-stomped both of those, but that's primarily because I have Assassin Shiki (for the Rider boss), and half of my gold Servants are fucking Sabers (so I could just grab an Okia support and shred her). And of course the Berserker one is a joke, because Berserker fights are always a joke. The Wharf posed the biggest problem of the areas.
A lot of it comes to the Servants you use though. That's why I've been gathering chess pieces, even though I have a lot: I like to max ascend as many Servants as possible, especially the 2* and 3*s. It gives you a lot of versatility for events and putting together non-standard comps for the harder fights.

During HF when Shirou goes shopping with Ilya, she sings Die Lorelei. The Lorelei is a water sprite that lives next to the Rhine river and is a candidate for Wagner's inspiration for the Rhine maidens, the guardians of the Rhinegold, in his Das Rheingold. Furthermore, the Rhine maidens and the Lorelei are known to be water spirits. And the homunculi of the Einzbern are children of nature, artificial nature spirits. Kotomine says that the Einzbern excel at using the legend of the Rhinegold and that makes a lot of sense when you consider that the apprentices of the Third made a workshop of artificial Rhine Maidens. While also explains why all the Einzbern homunculi are female. Although I can't say that for certain since there isn't a statement saying they're all female.
Also you'll notice their magecraft attribute is the transfer/flow of power. Ilya can shift things into other things.
Flow/transfer of power
Magic attribute that Einzbern magi are skilled in. They are specialized at the transmutation and creation of materials, that is, alchemy, using this attribute, and are highly skilled in the production of homunculi. Ilya often uses magic, using the attribute of transferring, to move the consciousness of others to something else.
This makes sense if you consider how the rhinegold itself was forged into a ring in the legend and then how the curse was then transferred and flowed through different people. It wouldn't be a surpise if the foundation of the Einzbern magecraft is in the legends of the transmutation of the rhinegold.
In essence, as they are artificial Rhine maidens of course they would excel at using the concept of the Rhinegold, an object as well a legend that has strong ties with the flow and transfer of power to alchemy.
Lastly you'll notice how Zouken and Justeaze's story parallels that of Alberich and the Rhine maidens. In the legend only someone who has thrown away love can obtain the gold which they can forge into a ring to gain mastery of the world. Albreich being humiliated by the Rhine maidens decides to throw away his love for the Rhinegold. In the same way. When Zouken arrives to the Einzbern he develops complicated feelings for Justeaze, he both hates her for having the Third, pities her because of her condition and admires her. But at the promise of fulfilling his original goal of saving the world, he throws all that away and helps the family forge her into the Greater Grail.

You have to consider that he's not exactly Urobutcher's original character. The Kerry in Fate/Zero is exactly the Kerry that was described by Kotomine and Seibah in F/SN - an absolute brutal killer that took no chances, because he had a mission to accomplish, and nothing would stand between him and completing it. Even the character model has been mostly consistent from Takeuchi's sketches, to the CG in F/SN, to DEEN, to F/Z and beyond.
The bigger point of contention with Fate/Zero more has to do with Saber. It's a major point that Shirou was handed a trump card that's absolutely wasted on him and his shitty-ass Mage ability, at least from a strictly mechanical perspective. On the other hand, F/Z has her getting absolutely wrecked throughout the entire thing. They justify it to a degree by having Kerry be pretty shit as well, but it still doesn't work out well. And then, of course, there's the meeting of kings.
In general, F/Z is a good story, but thanks to the existence of the anime and of secondaries, it's over-hyped as being something more than it isn't. More so, said people treat it as what "Fate" looks like at its best, because they don't realize the foundation of the series is a pretty balanced mix of drama, action, slice of life, and absurdity: not just the first two.

I think I find the mission style events more entertaining than the farming events. Kinda wished that there was a little more suffering in the story though. It honestly felt liked it ended on too happy a note to me because none of the masters involved seemed to get emotionally crushed or had everything they valued destroyed in front of them. Tokiomi is really the worst in terms of seeming blatantly 'wrong' in comparison to F/SN. The whole thing with the clocks gives off the vibe of someone who's a lot more of a prankster, and hell, the whole thing with the Tohsaka's was that they were the only basically good of the three families.
If I were to recharacterize it, I would have had Tokiomi be a lot more of a 'fool' in terms of his characterization, and have it be those aspects that ended up costing him, rather than generic Magus behavior. Someone who genuinely didn't believe he might get betrayed, who didn't realize Zouken was a monster, who generally thought the best of people and simply wasn't prepared for the atrocities of the war. It would make it more of a tragedy when he went down.

None of the founding families were "good" in a moral way. In a magus way, yes, they were all well-established and were close to reaching the root. Granted, out of the three, Tohsaka is the least worst, but that doesn't really mean much when your competition is worm rape grandpa and eternal fuck up grandpa. And it was an important part of FSN that Tokiomi was fully aware of what he was getting Sakura into and did it anyway which drilled Rin's hard ass "be a proper magus" into her until Shirou dicks her or she really misses her sister. It's a common theme with Nasu that these entities known as families are actually incredibly brutal because that's just how you get ahead in the world of magic, but this particular person of this family (Rin, Sakura, Illyasviel, Bazett, Shiki etc) is a nicer member.

On the other hand, while Tohsaka might struggle in getting there, they would never go off the "right path". They wanted the Root because that was 'the thing that we should be doing'.

If you remember that was Zouken's way of drilling the magic into her, however, he kind of got sidetracked when he chose to instead put some black mud soaked worms in her too. She was still declared the next head of the family and she was being trained, as far as Matou training is done, which if you look at our dear friend Kariya, is incredibly painful bug infestation to open mana circuits.
And as far as side materials, Tokiomi is supposed to be a cold hearted to the point that Rin would be shocked if she had been old enough before he died.

For Ishtar specifically, I assume you mean her first release as an Archer.
She can raise her own attack and crit strength by 20%, give herself Invincible and Ignore Invincible for 1 turn with an 80% success rate. This same skill charges her NP by 50% at lv 10, and her NP raises Buster power and hits all enemies, so it's good for farming. She can also raise her attack a further 50% but that effect has a 1 turn delay on it.
I'd say it's a decent choice. Personally I wouldn't give her any Grails but the important thing is you're following your heart.

I also forgot to mention an important thing: I was using the CEs of the event to farm more seals. In the 3 times I lost, he always was at least at 50~60k HP, until I said fuck it, changed the CEs and killed the sandnigger in 2 turns

I brought in cu alter,Jeanne alter support, Leonidas and Herc with his bond CE in the back row and I thought that was overkill. Hell guy did not get a actual hit on Cu alter through the entire fight since Protection of arrows cooldown is insanely short when you max it out.
Other then a scary HP bar there is nothing special to the fight. Either get fuckers that can live forever like herc or a Cu Chulainn(stay/night or alter. No excuse not to have a stay/night one levelled by now) or burst him down with Jeanne alter or okita.

Well while most people are yelling about the caster part, hear me out here. They could've made him actually pretty good if they gave him a ST NP, imagine a welfare Caster with a ST NP, there's so few of those already and having one with a mana burst and having pretty good spammability would be amazing. Toppled with the dragon attack being initially a let down, now serves as a good niche against the likes of Shuten Douji, MHX, Kiyohime and MHXA. But no let's go the safe route and give him an AoE Defense Down NP, like Virtually half of the roster of casters we already have.

Even if it was single target he still has a massive issue. By mere grace of being Caster he can't even rely on the same strats normal Siegfried can because his main helper, George, is weak to everything Sieg is effective against. I'll give them points for making him a Caster instead of a Saber, but the thingg where he turns into Fafnir for his NP and Siegfried for his EX Attack pisses me off. It means he has full control of his transformation and doesn't need those stupid-ass black Command Seals to use it. I get that, but making him ST is still better in terms of meta shakeup than giving him the same NP most casters already have, his 3rd skill isn't entirely useless since it still charges his gauge, and with having another NP gain skill on top of having pretty good NP gain to begin with and an arts buff, he'd at least go from absolutely useless to niche/ if not a slightly better Medea thanks to being NP 5 and 4 star. It'd be for the folks who still hadn't drawn a Xuanzang or a Circe, or who weren't lucky enough to pull Sheba during the Salem Banner.

Apparently the way 'Patronising' is being used here is to portray Gawain like a big brother that looks down on his siblings. Are they related in Fate? I know Mordred and Agravain are half-siblings and that's part of why he'd look out for her more than the others, but I don't know if Mordred knew about any their relation or any other siblings she may have had.
It seems like her character development from Apocrypha stuck through to this summoning. I guess it was one of those 'events so important they carve themselves into a Saint Graph' like Avicebron's completing Adam Keter Malkuth.
I do wish she had a line for Proto-Arthur though. Would've been nice to see her reaction to him calling her cute.
I love everything about this update and I really hope we get it early. Maybe if we're lucky it'll be added with the Camelot release, since that's the earliest you can get Gawain/Tristan/Bedivere.

Yes, definitely. Every coin you get is worth 10K QP, with a decent setup you can get around +18 bonus on each drop, meaning around 200K QP per drop. Material rates are pretty good too.

Babbage's strengthening fixes his low attack though by increasing the attack buff to 40% and extending it to 3 turns. His 5,996 attack would roughly become 8394.4 which is effectively 7554.96 due to class modifier I believe. This combined with his massive HP pool pushes him into the upper spectrum of silvers and effectively makes him the best silver Caster for its duration falling just short of the average 4 star Caster stat line. 3 turns with a 2 turn downtime is pretty good all things considered, granted this also means using up his defensive skill.

Also I'm really interested to find out who the event boss is this time. Most people are saying it's gonna be Darnic, but given how each set of raid bosses have had increasingly more 'valuable' buffs in order of Iron/Bronze/Silver/Gold Mistletoe and how close to the Ragnarok Lostbelt we are I want to say it's Loki. I also saw a theory it could be Archimedes, the whole running countless simulations with emotionless Servants deal sounds like something he'd do. Whenever he gets added I hope he's the single-target 3star Caster we've been waiting for. Medea's nice but I want Mathbro.

I feel like Sieg's character could've worked better if he'd shown up with his current personality in another story first, then Apocrypha was a prequel showing how he got to that point. The bit where he almost crushes your hand because he forgot what hands are after spending 14 years as a dragon is great, and his whole deal where he's trying to balance the idea of what he thinks an ancient dragon like Fafnir should be like with how he actually is is nice too. It wouldn't make some of his more bullshit wins/survivals better but it'd be something.

Sieg was a problem principally because of his role in the story, which is to completely derail the promised grand battle between two factions of Servants, oppose a guy whose plan doesn't seem that awful unless you understand how the Nasuverse works (and the problem doesn't get explained until fucking F/GO and Extella), and become the love interest of someone who should never have had a love interest. The fact that he has virtually zero character to speak of exacerbates these problems while removing any chance of redemption from them.
Sieg works better when he's the one being derailed and actually has a character of some kind. Which makes sense. Most characters are better when they have a character, and have some sort of real opposition.

Also a flat 8% really isn't that good when this games wants you to focus on a particular style as well. 8% boost to everything is nice but 15% boost to the most common card type in your deck, and also your NPs, is far better. I will say Jing Ke's Bond CE didn't help her, since she debuted at the time they were actually trying to be creative with them as opposed to the "buff x for 15/10/8%".
