BFME games had alright campaigns but the gameplay itself was dumb so don't bother with PVP modes.

I knew about BFME 2. Recently played 1.

The evil forces really SUCK. They have no cavalry. Really shitty archers. You need much more micromanagement to get your Sandniggers on your Elefants. And Catapults were a must, because they were your only real ranged and siege weapon. And the only unit that survived agains the 10 billion archers of the enemy, so you had lots of them.

The Good Forces were so much more fun. I made the mistake of playing the evil campaign first.

Maybe you just need to adjust your gameplay. Evil forces attack in swarms. I had no trouble at all as any of the evil factions.

Well, it was just annoying, because it took so much time.

In the good campaign I could actually take my forces from one battle to the next.

In the evil campaign there were often missions, where all my Olifants were killed to defeat the first wave of Archers.

Then I had to build up my forces all over again.

It sucks, you have no Elite troops or anything of value.

I recommend this as well but its clear the games are meant to be movie tie-ins rather than actual games of the franchise.
