It's this kind of shit I don't understand. Why do they casualize it? I know that casualization is the standard these days, but all of these elements I could see in that mp4 just makes the mechanics seem downright unenjoyable. Wouldn't it feel a lot better to the player if you had to dodge or jump over each obstacle manually? Wouldn't it feel a lot more rewarding when you correctly time or correctly space a web swing so that you don't slam into a building like you usually would? It's the challenge of the game's mechanics which serve as motivation to master them and apply them.
Take for instance if in Touhou they made it so you automatically release a bomb if you have any when you die, or if you automatically slow down when you get too close to a bullet. That wouldn't feel quite as rewarding when you win. The same thing is happening here.

Shadow of the Beast is a motherfucking gory platformer with a very simple story that involves beating the shit out of demons who turned you into a demon.
A Hat In Time is a collectathon like Banjo Kazooie but is more linear and focuses on platforming, with loads of hats to change up how the game plays.
That mecha game is one of a huge amount from japan, and they're usually quite complex in control depending on which game you're playing. I think the last one was Gravity Rush, which I heard was maybe decent.
None of the games follow any of that, and their gameplay is quite good, because they were made by actual devs and not hollywood. Stay mad you failed film student.

Oh man, a Daredevil game would be so cool. The amount of detail in the world would depend on the the echoing of sound. Too little, and the entire map is dark. Too much, and everything will be distorted. It would only focus on Hell's Kitchen, but all the buildings would have rooms that you'd be able to hear through and determine the density of objects and whether they could be penetrated.
