It's one thing to spend money on games, but the amount of money to 'roll' on a gacha mobile game is beyond ridiculous. Especially when they 'sell' these packs with amounts that you could pay a new video game for. If they wanted it make it more appealing, they would do a massive price drop. The only reason they exist now is because of our really nasty gambling tendencies that we have cultivated overtime. Japan is particularly notorious for this.

Oh and of course actual traditional Roguelikes can be had on a phone too, some have proper ports and others take a bit of messing with. Turn-based games like that are ideal I find since you'll often get distracted from a real time game if you're out and about.
