I only played 4.1 on PC with KB+M, except when I knew I would be using wheeled vehicles. I never had a problem with controls for everything else, helicopters included. The only legitimate control problem I had was with wheeled vehicles needing gradual turning and acceleration to keep stable.

I think what you are referring to though is the weighted inertia that many of the heavy and low level vehicles and fencer weapons have, which is a gameplay mechanic, not analog stick simulation, and is present even in the console versions and 5. Higher level vehicles do not have this as much, some not at all, and fencer in 5 even has equipment to reduce or completely remove it.

You're the only nigger here. Instead of calling them by their name, you say "Gundam" which could imply many different type of mech since you're not describing which mech you're talking about because "utter shit, slow and fragile" could be plenty of other mechs. Especially when the Balam has the most HP out of any vehicle so "fragile" is the exact opposite of what someone would think. Lets not even get into how the Balam isn't even close to any fucking Gundam. It's more close to Gigantor if anything. You shouldn't call people illiterate fucks when you don't even know what the hell you're talking about and type with contradictory information.

That aside, the new giant mechs are good. They hit very hard and are really durable. Their punches penetrate alien armor which allowed them to OHKO them in most cases. They're still not the best thing for taking out ants and definitely not good for flying drones, dragons (flying toads in this case), or wasps but they will slaughter many of the tougher enemies thrown at you. In most cases, there isn't much of a reason not to deploy them. Saying that the other vehicles are also good. Even motorcycles are practical now and can deal some insane damage very quickly as you run through a group of insects.

I was making a joke about it being pointless. PSO2 already has full English patch so an official English release would mean nothing. EDF is a game about shooting giant bugs, rolling, and collecting boxes. Official English or Japanese knowledge is not required in the least bit to play it. I don't know any moon at all and I managed to get through hard and inferno as AR solo and can even tell you what everything does. For the few things that aren't clear after a little testing, you can just use google to get a surprisingly accurate translation.

That's some bullshit. Any character is good in co-op with the right gear regardless of their max armor, and three of the classes have difficulty-scaling gear that make player armor mostly useless (RA vehicles, AR vehicles, F shields).

I agree. There are times when I carried a team despite having a fourth of the armor. Mainly as a Ranger or Wing Diver. The walking fortress stage in EDF5 where you must destroy it is also a stage where I have always carried the team when playing with others. I usually use the fencer in that stage and have to destroy the fortress alone for some reason. However, there are times I do so shit I have left so I can stop being a burden to the team. Sometimes I play great and sometimes I'm a fuck-up though that's rare.

Actually does anyone want to play EDF5? I'm in the mood to play it now.

Try rockets, missiles, and grenades. Everything is better with explosions. Also play around with the other classes as they all play pretty differently. Bump it up to Hard and skip the first mission. You may have a bit of a slow start, but you will get much stronger and more interesting weapons. Normal is for when you get stuck on a mission but still want to feel like you earned a victory. Easy is for just skipping missions completely.

There is more strategy to the game than it looks like on a surface level. DPS is a very important thing to consider so there's a lot of math you'll need to do in your head. You'll have to know how fast every weapon should kill something. Though if you can slow down how fast enemies can reach you and you can effectively kite them then you'll always win. If you're killing everything without dying or taking much damage, then you're playing just fine. Just make sure to keep your allies alive as they will keep some of the enemies attention off you.

This will happen a lot no matter what if you use explosives. Build up your tolerance now for when it happens late-game. You will also kill many, MANY, of your dudes with any weapon regardless. >Weapon selection is very important. Key factors are damage (for kill breakpoints), range, reload/downtime, enemy types, enemy grouping, aggro, and stun/CC.

>Threat triage. Know when you can shoot at spawners, and when you need to absolutely need to kill threats. Know which enemies are the biggest threat.

To add to those tips.

>Always pay attention to your radar. If you suddenly notice a red dot behind you, it means you're about to be shotgun sprayed or webbed so immediately dodge and deal with the threat behind you before fighting anyone else. Also you want to know where the next med kit is so you can back up into it in the when swarmed upon.

>Best way to avoid nearly every attack is to move perpendicular to the attacker. Know this and you'll find yourself living much longer. If swarmed, make a hole and run that direction while killing everything. It's better to have everything on one side of you and not all around you. Unless you're a fencer. Then they fell into your trap.

>Sometimes you have a gun that's so good and covers so many things to the point where you don't need a second gun. A reverser is useful in this situation. It can heal you and allies. Or get a non-reloadable gun that deals insane damage to get you out of dire situations or kill something very fast.

>Some guns have massive recoil when you fire which throws you back. Switching weapons nullifies this recoil.

>Know how you can destroy every building? There are time where you don't want to do this as they provide good cover. Buildings really slow down spiders and make it hard for them to web you so hiding in between them helps. This also goes for wasps, dragons, and drones especially red drones. That's fine. As long as they're not shooting at me at the moment I can flank them. Laser cannon greys are worst enemy in the game IMO. Every time I see one I beacon it for everyone to see in multiplayer. Everyone realizes they have to die immediately. At least shotgun Pepes can be dealt with from afar. Laser Greys can fuck you from anywhere at any time while blinding you. They're the personification of the disco lights from the Earth Eaters in 4.1 you fight during the second phase of the last boss.

I think this is new to EDF5 but when you are grabbed by something you actually do less damage to them yourself compared to when you're not grappled. My shotgun would kill red ants in 2 blasts while the same shotgun would kill them in 3-4 blasts when grappled. Also I didn't know you could attack turrets to enemies that weren't shield bearers.

Unfortunately you can. I don't know how many times I've had an ant run up and catch a turret on its leg or antennae after I threw it. I am pretty sure you can put anything on anything though, except turrets on friendly NPCs and players.

I'm not sure if that is actually a thing or just being at an odd angle or something to do with piercing mechanics, but I wouldn't really know as I either instantly killed things with AR's impact hammer, dropped holy judgement upon myself, or suffered the shame of mr. frog's wild ride.
