At this point, I'd rather have a Fire Emblem arena fighting game with all Lords playable. And none of that Warriors faggotry either. Only story involved or heavily supporting cast should be in. Tiki, Liliana, Caeda, Black Knight, etc. Preferably no Fates characters should be in, but seeing as the series is now everything I stated is likely impossible.

I prefer modern war over old war. Modern war and Roman Imperial war is inherently more strategic and is centered in generals while medieval war is centered more on heroes and the warrior's skill, strength and bravery. That's why FE has all the RPG stat stuff while AW is more of a strategy game. Also sea and air warfare.

Sadly it seems DoR is what killed the series in spite of being a perfectly good game. It did go a little overboard with the darkness but the mechanics were solid. Personally I prefer commanding tanks and battleships over knights and wizards and I miss AW, but dread to imagine how the CURRENT YEAR would turn it into a dating sim.
If I was a game dev i'd gladly try to make my own indie rip-off. it'd probably be a pile of shit though, I had an idea for a unique spin on the CO mechanics that would be impossible to balance correctly.

It released around 3 months ago. I don't know if it's good or not so it may be a scam like that. It was a Kickstarter game at first but they actually shut down the Kickstarter halfway through, because I guess they found a publisher instead? I'm not sure on the details but the game does seem to exist, at least.
