FFX is my favorite. Tidus isn't a loser freak though his life was shit. He's also very thoughtful.

Don't play X-2 in front of people you care about thinking you're homo. You also need a guide to get the real 100% ending.

Oh, and the remaster ruined the music of FFX if you care. They lost all their musical talent with Uematsu after the original X. I think the remaster is just high resolution PAL. X-2 was updated with the japanese only and new content. Maybe there are mods and things, I don't know.

5 and Tactics are the best games mechanically. 6, 7 and 9 are the best plot wise.

X-2 has the best Action Time bar gameplay in the entire series and for that alone it is worth playing.

Just tolerate the design choice for job mechanic, the shitty structure of the game, and the retarded choice of plot for a sequel. Just focus on the gameplay and you'll have fun

No other FF has replicated X-2's ATB gameplay, which elaborated and perfected the combat system. It is fast paced, fluid, included jobs, the best out of previous series with the use of limit breakers, etc. It is an actual fast paced ATB. The only thing it lacks is dual/triple techs like in Chrono Trigger and it would be perfect. The issue is the design choices and the shit sequel they decided to put it on. if they simply had taken their time with X, X would've had this battle system, and X would've been immediatly on par with 6 and 5 as top tier FF, even with just the decent story.

I'd say X is worth playing at least once if you never beat it. People rightly give it shit, but it's got good music, good battle system fuck ATB and it's very memorable to me for whatever reason. Main thing I hate is the level design is basically a corridor with random encounters. If you can get it cheap, then go for it.

No, I wasn't shitposting. FF6 is overrated garbage, and while FF9 is even worse it at least isn't overrated since even those that like it rarely say that it's the best ever. The hilarious reason for that though is that pretty much the minority that happens to like FF9 rate FF6 as their favorite.

FF6 has a retarded plot with no clear main character. Terra is absolute garbage and mostly exists to get the boring "evil empire" plot going. Kefka is the most overrated character in the entire franchise, not because he's the most popular villain (he isn't), but because he's absolute dogshit while being loved by so many retards. Kefka is the equivalent of how a player would play a villain, which makes sense why so many low IQ FF6 fans love him. He's chaotic evil, so he's the best villain evar!

I'm not even going to go into any more on why those two games are shit. Neither of them, or you, are worth much more of my time.

The remaster is a pretty good deal, especially for X-2.

The quality of the remaster itself is kind of suspect as it changes character models, textures and various areas to be different but its nothing awful like the Silent Hill one.

You know that that's available with a PAL iso right? Along with all the dark aeons and other extra bosses.

If you're playing on an emulator anyway, the best version is undeniably original pal, since it contains all the extra content of the international version without the fucked textures, polygons and music of the remaster, and you can up internal rendering resolution anyway on an emulator.

it's a 49hour game with 6hours of unskippable cutscenes, quite a bit of grinding, and extremely linear story telling with some really gay minigames and relatively obnoxious main set of characters.
