RPG, especially turn based.

Anything with too much between-mission management or grinding is a chore. And RPG's tend to have burdensome stories.

Sandbox just exacerbates these flaws.

Fighting games are the absolute worst for me. I just have really shitty timing and can't be bothered to memorize a bunch of esoteric and completely non-intuitive finger-flapping movements to perform combos.

Really, anything that requires pinpoint precision and timing is, as far as I'm concerned, a waste of time. Can a computer do it objectively better than a human? Then why bother?

I can barely even bring myself to play online, it's too fucking stressful because it involves other human beans. Haven't played anything online in years.

Some completely serious advice for you, anon: Battletoads. It's really good for learning to predict that sort of instant-death bullshit. Once you get to Terra Tubes or so, there's a ton of them and you'll see all of it coming after the first one.

If you want something a bit more "fair" to start out, go with the original Mega Man games, since they have a bit of memory in every game, and then try Castlevania 1 and 3.

Learning fighting games is an endurance test. Find a game you like, pick a character you like and then try to learn their combos. Fail and try again. And again. And again. Eventually you'll succeed more often than you fail. Once that happens you can throw yourself against other players, fail and try again. And again. And again.
