The eternals use rumors with the help of Sierokarte to maintain the illusion that any of them can overthrow a country single-handed, but this isn't true at least until they get their hands on each respective revenent weapons. Siete, for example, may have the best swordsmanship skills in the world, but until he gets his seven-star sword, wouldn't be able to stand up to a luminary with their primal beast-infused weaponry. Gran can 1v1 any of the eternals with their respective rev weapon, so obviously he, and by extension his crew, is stronger.

It's a bit early for me to make a call on how strong the Luminary Knights are since we're missing four members. That being said the ones we have so far don't make them seem great. If Red is their best combatant i'm willing to bet that some Eternals like Sarasa or Song can take one of the Knights one-on-one with or without revenant weapon.
I'm interested to see how the Arcarum Oracles stack up against them. There's actually a lot to discuss and speculate for them so let me 'tism for a bit.
Not really a fan of their designs, i kind of like two of them, so i'm hoping that their skills and story make up for it. Since there's ten of them we can assume that, like the Eternals, they'll each be made to represent a class. With the Eternals it (mostly) was row 1-3 and for the Oracles EX.
I say mostly because there's a discrepancy between Sarasa and Siete and Okto is just the Samurai class i'm not 100% on this but i think katanas weren't in the game yet when the row class archetypes were designed. Siete is meant to represent the Weaponmaster line with the whole ignition thing but Sarasa uses both an axe and sword, emblematic of those classes. She kinda sorta resembles Valkyrie with the skill damage and dual weapons but she doesn't have any of those particular buffs/debuffs and one of the weapons is wrong. Her being a great embodiment of the Berserker class doesn't help things.
I really want to know what the Oracles are going to do. I don't think they can base the characters off the weapons again since the EX classes use a lot of similar ones. For instance, you can't really give any of them the katana since Ninja, Samurai and Swordmaster have unique secondary weapons in the EX-line so if you make a Ninja katana character then there's not going to be a fist character same with Sword and Bow.
It's also possible they'll double down on the weapon-thing and incorporate the Arcarum weapons into this. We can see some similarities between the weapons and the summons so it's not entirely out of the question. The Dark Axe is called "Reaper", is shaped like a scythe and the description mentions "the promised end" whilst the summon for the element is Death.

I like Moon and Lovers the most so far. That's not to say i outright dislike all the others. They're just not as good as the Eternals or some other characters. Honestly some of them have even less character than the new bandit NPC portraits they've added over the last months.
Most of them can still win me over with their personalities however. I'd say Devil is close already and i think playstyle is actually going to be the winning factor for her, if it's interesting. I also chose her the first time around with Arcarum PvP so she also has that going for her. Judgement, Temperance and Emperor are all fine i just need to see some more of them. I feel nothing for the Suns Oracle and Draphfried. I actively dislike baby hands and from his pose and demeanor, he might be more of a cunt than Quatre. I actually hate SanFran man.
I also think their cloaks and shoulder capes detract from some designs like Justice. Those might be removed when we recruit them at least.

Bal is the generic team, caps or near caps def down, has some sustain, and can take on pretty much anything.
Atk is for short fights or 1tko.
Spec, Def and Heal teams are for HL content, whether I need gravity, phalanx or panacea (even though I rarely use heal teams and those end up being test teams)
Alt is just an alternative Bal team I keep there for fun, like my Alt fire team would be Grea, Aliza, Sheep, my alt water team would be potatoes only and needs Charlotta, then whatever.
Since the introdution of the B teams, those slots are reserved to R and SR teams.
Most of my characters can find a slot somewhere and I'm happy with the organization now.

The simple solution is to seek out friends who have grimnir set as a support summon for more regular access to that summon. Also something to note, if you start a trial battle and then retreat, it rerolls the support summons, and you can repeat this until you get Grimnir. Garula may have a small chance of a very powerful call effect, but 10k damage shields are 10k damage shields. Hard to go wrong with that if youre serious about getting honors, and at the level youre playing at I would assume (pre-HL) grimnir or kaguya are probably overall better summons than garula + tia FLB.

I personally hoard mine until I eventually need the quartz. If the summon has a FLB it's more profitable to FLB it then reduce, as you'd get the mats for reducing 5 summons instead of the 1+3 you fed it. If it doesn't uncapping them only causes you to lose out on the extra bonus items you'd get by reducing them at 0*.

Just make sure your class weapon is for one of the EX classes, it'll not only unlock Tier 4 classes but when they're released, it'll allow you to unlock the respective EXII class associated with that weapon. For example, making an Aschallon not only lets you become all of the T4 classes, but unlocks the EXII class for swordmaster, called Glorybringer. Basically just look at the EX classes and if you really like one and think it'll get a good EXII, go for it!

My dark team feels especially fragile, but I can manage to get Lumi to 50% with it.
Even SR dark characters can be very heavy hitters, but they all die relatively quickly (or at least mine do).
My wind team feels like it can take a few hits before going down, but if I'm not 100% prepared for Ygg's charge attack (usually by using a support Grimnir), I'm still going to die even if I could solo her otherwise.
Also, don't use rain of arrows, that was the same mistake I made – get blind instead. It doesn't work 100% of the time and relying on it too much will get you killed if you are not careful, but it works so often you'll want to have it.
As for class weapons, do what this Anon >>14592385 said and get Aschallon so you can unlock Glorybringer later on with ease.
You'll need a lot of mats, a sword master distinction that you can get from completing co-op quests as one (and later by buying them with pendants) and a legendary merit.
It will take a bit of time, but it'll be well worth it, especially if you can farm alone.
