Personal favorite of mine was Zoo Tycoon 2.

I remember playing the first one way back on my dusty old Dell tower back in 2001.

When the sequel came out it was amazing, I got all the expansion packs and had a blast with what you could do in it.

Never really got around to it, but what do you guys think about the Tycoon games? You think they are appreciated? Any memorable things you did or are doing in those games?

Never played Zoo Tycoon 2, but I had a blast with the first title when I was younger. Even if I most of my sessions consisted of doing something, reading one or two entries from the in-game encyclopedia while waiting for money to come in, and then repeating the same process.

Making a suitable compound for animals that required mountainous terrain was a pain in the fucking ass though.

I loved Zoo Tycoon 2 when I was younger, I've revisited it in last year and it's still worth playing even if does have some issues with 16:9 and modern hardware in general. I just started playing Planet Coaster last night and it seems pretty alright, I'm playing a pirated version, and thus don't have access to Steam workshop. Eventually I might buy it for that reason, if I decide it's fun enough, since it seems they expect most players to download custom buildings and the like, or spend a LOT of time making them.

Fuck's sake, why they couldn't just follow the same direction that RCT3 went (expansion packs that actually add new mechanics, like water parks and zoo parks, and even more campaigns)

Such a shame the game has such jewish practices, scenery-wise to go full autism, game is top tier

The last time I played Startopia I turned the pleasure deck almost entirely into a fuck palace. I ended up making a bunch of separate love nests because I didn't want to cheat on funds, but I wonder what or if there is a limit to room size, say, expanding a room across all ring sections if you have the spacebucks for it. I think I'll try it just to see if it's possible, I'm not even sure what would happen if you stretch a room entirely around until it meets itself again.

Yeah, those DLC packs are bullshit. RCT3's expansions were amazing, both of them added basically an entire new tycoon building set to the game. Turned into Rollercoaster Tycoon, Waterpark Tycoon and Zoo Tycoon all in one.

Darn, looks like it'll only do about three ring sections before it goes red, it also seems to flip out if you attempt to expand about half way past the starting section, like it doesn't know which direction to expand from.
