Here's my take on a tier list for the demand classes/specs from playing horde on various vanilla private servers. If you're not interested in joining a raiding guild but still want epics, rolling a high demand class such as a shaman will get you into PuG raids or as a stand-in for guilds that have trouble filling up their raid.

For raiding:

S: Resto shaman

A+: Healing priest

A: Resto druid

B: Fury Warrior, Warlock, Mage

-There's plenty of warriors to go around but there always seems to be demand for dedicated fury warriors for some reason. It might be because warriors like to go arms for PvP which makes them unviable for raiding.

B-: Shadow priest (after ZG patch)

-I found shadow priests to be hard to find. The consumables requirement for playing this variation of priest is immense and probably brings most priests into the healing role.

C+: Hunter

C: Prot Warrior

D: Rogue

F: Meme specs

Tier list for demand in dungeons:

S: Prot warrior or other warrior willing to tank

S-: Feral druid tank

A: Mage

B: Everything else

C: Hunter

D: Rogue, Warrior that refuses to tank

I don't have any experience in raiding on alliance but I assume hunters are lower demand and warlocks slightly higher demand. Alliance makes feral druid less of a meme spec too with BoK.

Alliance being the tranny faction should bring the healer demand down a fair bit but the absolute top tier should still be dwarf priest. Ret/prot paladins are absolute gutter trash for end-game dungeons/raids.

For PvE class/race combos on alliance the ones you should know about are:

Human > everything for warrior/rogue/ret paladin

Gnome > Human for warlock/mage

Dwarf > Human priest in early half of vanilla content.

Human > Dwarf priest in latter half of vanilla content.

Actually went to RFK on K2. Took gear off until I was at around 1k armor, which is LESS than what a lvl 30 Warrior will have. The elite melee mobs inside were hitting for less than 50. In Berserker Stance. There's lvl 16-17 mobs in fucking Deadmines and Wailing Caverns that hit harder than that.

Face it: the PvE content on Kronos is about as relevant as the PvE content on Warmane.

Have you never played any RPGs before? Damage mitigation refers to reducing the amount of damage dealt by one or many instances of damage. Translation: make big numbers smaller. The whole tank stat discussion happened in early 2005. There's 13 years' worth of information and discussion of the subject of tanking and its nomenclature. Maybe you should try educating yourself with some of the material that's freely available for you to peruse on any private server's Warrior forum section.

And I'm not 100% certain that Elysium's number are correct. But I don't think they're more than 5% off of what the vanilla values were. The reason why myself and many others are saying the damage values of instance mobs feels so wrong on Kronos is because we remember what vanilla was like. A good group doing 5 man vanilla instances most certainly had to use CC in order to reduce healer downtime. Even outside of downtime considerations, CC was used so the tank wouldn't die and so they healer wouldn't pull aggro or triple or quadruple pulls. You don't need to CC on Kronos because mobs do barely any damage compared to vanilla.

I reported some bugs from the PTR and a GM instantly closed the ticket saying I should test it on Kronos 1, which I don't have a 60 on. After that and experiencing multiple bugs from 1-12 I just stopped playing even though I was incredibly far ahead of the pack. Server isn't worth playing with this many bugs, I'll just play some expansions that are actually fun instead.

Gotta level up the weapon skill first but when you're caught up it's the same (press U to see the weapon skills), unless you've got racial bonuses like humans with swords and maces or orcs with axes. Also arms warriors has weapon specialization in its tree but that's it.
