I tried to go to bed 2 hours ago, but my brain is going on and on chewing on this space density theory of gravitation that I've tinkered with since my physicist days. I think I've managed to account for the Big Bang and Hawking radiation within the scope of it, and developed some preliminary formulae for affecting space density by use of a high-amplitude, high-impulse electromagnetic scalar wave within an evacuated spherical resonant chamber surrounded by an array of electromagnetic emitters.

But then conservation threatens to get in the way. You'd think putting the whole apparatus on a scale and firing it up would show a reduction in weight right? But if my theory is correct, then the increase in space density in the core would be offset by a reduction in space density in the region from which the electromagnetic waves are propagated which threatens to balance it out unless the wave front can be decoupled. This should be possible, but my brain is burning itself out trying to figure out how to do it in a way that could be measured.

While science has an excellent understanding of how gravity works, we still have no idea why it works or where it comes from. Why does a large mass bend space around it, and bend vector fields within it towards the center of this mass?

If you consider gravity, it is a function of mass, and related to mass density. The more matter you have, and the more tightly it is packed together, the stronger the gravity field. So what can you say about a region of space that has a lot of dense matter in it? You can say that there is less SPACE occupying that volume.

Consider a balloon being held underwater. When released it tries to float up to the surface. This is paradoxical because gravity is pulling it down. However gravity is also pulling the water down, creating an area of low density above the water volume (pressure field). The air above the water is less dense than the water is, so the balloon is subjected to a force that wants to move it to that low density area. The force fields in the water flow from areas of higher density to areas of lower density. Basic fluid dynamics.

So here is another way to visualize a volume of dense matter: It is an area of low density in space. Matter occupies space, after all. And if space is occupied by matter, than it isn't occupied by space. Ergo that space has less density.

My theory is that when you have an area of low density in space, the surrounding space curves around it. Like the meniscus of a bubble. This meniscus pulls on the surrounding, high density space through a force not unlike surface tension on water, dragging and contorting it. Since space is extremely inelastic, this creates a large torsion field that we measure as a gravitational field. Any vector that passes through this torsion field is bent towards the region of low density space.

An interesting test for this would be to have a pressurized aquarium in a zero-G environment. Float a bubble in the middle of the water, and then inject a smaller bubble into the tank with some velocity. I predict that the small bubble would move towards the large static bubble (because in zero-G there is no relative "up") and try to merge with it, because it would be the area of least density within the medium. Regions of low density are attracted to one another in proportion to their density (small things are attracted more to big things than big things are to small).
