It's a good game for pirates. As in, it has so much DLC with such large content that it serves the pirate well. Wars are still fucky, but they did balance out which government types work best and which do not. Besides slavery. Just spent like two days binging it, was alright. Just when I was about to put it down the endgame crises happened which was some corporation invading the colony which I had to build turrets to defend against. This was a pretty pleasant surprise and I was expecting some more wrenches in the works to challenge my now thriving colony. The worse part about this game is how poor the priority system is, especially with the drones and shuttles. I thought they would communicate but drones will repair lower priority buildings rather than leaving resources for shuttles to move. which has fucked me more than once and I have to manually move and repair buildings. Which is fucking stupid and there should be an expanded list of building priority not vague bullshit.
Comfy at times but more often than not I feel like I'm surviving the shitty design choices, also there is fuck all to do mid-game except gambling on getting the right techs. I haven't seen enough of the mysteries to comment but the ones I have seen are entertaining enough late game goals.

The way that all the factories need electronics to run even the electronics factory is kinda fucked. Every time I did a 300 electronics building project it would take all of the electronics in storage and now my electronics factories can't afford the electronics upkeep to keep running.
so effectively I don't have enough electronics to keep making electronics. The electronics supply chain basically self destructs if you tax it a little too much. and you need to buy electronics before you can make any more electronics.

A problem with my current game in that auto drone hubs hasn't appeared on the tech tree yet so when the hubs need maintenance all the drones stop working and I need to move my rover over to do it.

The shuttles will carry materials between stockpiles automatically, something I do when I need metal quickly is to move a rover with drones to a surface deposit and place a stockpile down, the drones will automatically collect the metal onto the stockpile and the shuttles will fly over and collect it no matter the distance of the destinations. The same thing happens when you have domes separated by distance.
Shuttles also move people to new domes, so you can have a completely disconnected set of domes as long as you have enough shuttles, however the flying time can fuck you if you need resources anywhere fast.

So today I built an expansion base away from my main base, I built a tunnel from the corner of the map to the middle of the map to connect air/water/power after that I general storage spot and a drone hub. Literally everything after that was cake.
Also, today I discovered you could sort domes by traits and shit so I no longer need to find kids to move them to the school dome, drones just pick them up and drop them in the right spot and they move out as soon as they finish up at martian academy with a specialization. I seriously thought I was going to drop this game after a couple hours but the longer that I play it the more I like it.

The was a nother where 4 of my engineers got stuck in a former cement mining pit and just decided to give up the mission because they couldn't get back, even after I deleted their factory to try and get them out. They all died as well.

Most stupidest thing about this game. The entire mechanics of the maintenance system fall flat on its arse the second you get the molehole. What then is the fucking point of maintenance if its just going to become redundant. Tropico has a similar problem in that if you get too much money you can just buy buildings eliminating the need for construction crews. Also Sterling Generators don't require maintenance unless they're open and you can obtain them at the start making wind and solar stupid choices early on.

As I understand they can which is annoying, you may want to quarantine each dome because the path finding is retarded until you get Shuttles as then the Shuttle will transport your dumbass colonists directly to each dome stopping them from starving to death/dehydration. This game is stupid. It would've been amazing if they'd let you link Domes together with bridges between the two.

Yeah i got this in game. Colonists go out to walk and die. Domes to far apart or tunnel (colonists can't use) means steady stream of dead. Colonist can walk about 70-80% length of the side of the map. Shuttles don't solve problem as colonists miss their transport all the time when Shuttles carry cargo and decide to go for walk then.
How does university work? It teaches adults or children?

As i said colonist can walk about 70-80% of the map side length. So in normal case they simply reach dome by foot if they decided to switch their living dome. Problems arrive if domes are separated by landscape.

people don't leave domes for anything besides work, from my very first game this has absolutely never been an issue for me, here is my build.
2 apartments (so 2 big triangles)
1 farm (get soil to 100% and keep it there)
1 research, 1 pool, 1 garden, 1 statue
1 grocery, 1 medic center or whatever, 1 dinner and 1 small garden.
build something like water treatment for a spiral structure.
put your services on level 3 priority.
you should have 3 production factories of some sort either outside or inside, a lot of my domes simply have an empty triangle too with no problem.
