It's really a shame that there seems to be no good overhaul mods in the new generation of paradox games. CK2 had HIP, EU4 has VeF, Stellaris and HoI4 have shitty joke mods or overdesigned piles of crap when they are most badly in need of a mod that fixes basic gameplay problems.

The games before Stellaris and HoI44 weren't as mechanically broken, it's doubtful that a mod can do enough to make those function correctly/have the right mechanics.

Furthermore most of the old modders, likely didn't make the jump to the newer games.
