Only played EV but it's serviceable. The games were obviously made with portable in mind, most missions are done in 5-10m tops in very little stages and the gameplay is very simple. I always supported senran games since Burst excluding bon appétit because I really didn't like it that much but I'm not too fond of microtransactions. More importantly, I believe in pirating and only buying what you find worthy, and that ought to include DLC.

I would say pirate it. I enjoyed it myself when I played the JP version but I also don't think it's worth it full price. Maybe for 20-30 dollars. Online will most likely be dead in a few weeks and it was mostly made with a good amount of offline content to keep you busy.

Even then you can't really get into multiplayer because the game isn't balanced around a default or LV1 anything. So you can be LV3 and go against a LV9 character with max level equipment who can kill you before you even realize they're looking at you. They should have made it so everyone and everything they have is boosted to max level for multiplayer. That way everyone can immediately get into it while being on the same playing field.
