That said, Spyro trilogy will be a bad buy unless they fix all 3 games. First having boring, dull worlds without a character or a story and having absolutely no boss fights except the green guy and the robot (no, others don't count as most people didn't even know they were bosses), second game feeling unfinished once you reach the third hub and having backtracking, and the third having the terrible additional characters. For the third game they'd just have to cut the bad content and replace it with something else. The second game should give you all 3 power ups in the first hub or re-organize levels so that there is no backtracking. The first game should just be more interactive, playing it last year was the most boring experience in the trilogy for me and even though I thing the third game is shit this one was still almost equally disappointing.
Unless they fix all of this it's not worth spending money on when you can play the originals even on the go (PSP/Android/GPD..)

Lmao, i don't know about you guys but enter the dragonfly was a nightmare show for me.
I can't tell you how many bugs and glitches i encountered during my play through back when i was younger. I had instances where the npc's eyes would turn completely black or instances where i would constantly fall through the floor.

Enter the Dragonfly isn't buggy to the point of being broken, but it's buggy to the point you can easily break it. For instance, you can clip through the ground in the hub and immediately access the final boss. Many of the gates you need to open by finding so many dragonflies can simply be clipped through by charging into them. You can sequence-break the hell out of the game.

Generally it's the third game where everything goes to shit honestly. Spyro's a weird exception though because the second game has some aspects that just makes it unappealing. I think the first and second game are sort of a mix between example 1 and 2 while the third has a bit of 2 and 3. 2 has some rough edges with a few of the herding quests and other tedious segments while 3 has some great refinements but drones a bit with the alternative character levels.

I don't know why I ended up getting so invested in The Legend of Spyro Trilogy. I mean the first game was average early PS2 fare. Second game was glorified DLC of game 1 and featured no mechanical improvements except with worse level design. Last game was the most ambitious and set to have a lot going for it in terms of gameplay and story. Game gets butchered to shit at the last possible second and we get a gimped ass incomplete mess of a game. Movie announced but gets canceled not to shortly afterward.
