After Mass Effect: Andromeda, I don't trust BioWare not to completely mangle the next Dragon Age game. Inquisition's storyline was a pretty awful mixture of fedoratheism, third-wave feminism and Tumblr literal faggotry. They totally screwed up the lore with their pandering:

The only way to “fix” Drag Age is to fix Bioware, and the only way to do that is to cut it loose from Electronic Ass, fire everyone hired after Mass Effect 1/ Origins as in actually toss them on a fire, hire people who value gameplay and consistency over personal politics. So essentially, perform these three Herculean tasks and we might get a good Dragon Age game. They revealed that lyrium is sentient and red lyrium is due to being infected with the blight. Nevermind that the fucking red lyrium we discovered in Dragon Age 2 was in a cave so ancient that it predated the Darkspawn's first appearance. Then if you play Inquisition's DLC, you find out that lyrium is actually blood from the Titans, creatures that live underground and are pretty much sentient caves and have no connection with anything else thus far like Old Gods or the Elven Gods.
Bioware is pissing all over directions and they have no idea of what they are doing anymore. They have set up Solas as the new over-aching antagonist of the setting who will unleash the corrupt Elven Gods upon Thedas, making the original Darkspawn and Archdemons completely and totally irrelevant. And DA2 had set up a civil war between Templars and Mages that gets absolutely no resolution in Inquisition, you just chose one side in the first act, the other one becomes minions of Corypheus and it all bleeds into the game's main conflict against him. Also, nice job Bioware in recycling the main villain from one of your DLC expansions rather than coming up with something new. Really bold indeed.

i remember i was going to get 2, but the relentless shilling on /v/ at the time made the contrarian in me not buy it. and when i saw how bad they fucked it up, i was very happy with that decision.

Adolf Hitler was a half orphan and lived in poverty in Vienna during his teenage years and tried to make a living as a painter, but because the jews were controlling the art establishment he didn't sell much.
He was eighteen when the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna rejected him twice, because his painting for the entrance exam contained “too few heads” and one guy believed he would be a better architect. His mother died in the same year, making him a full Orphan.
In 1913 he obtained the last part of his deceased fathers estate, which allowed him to finally leave Vienna and move to Munich.

I think it's the fact that the land is bountiful that makes the "civilisation" that lives therein so lazy and weak. They don't have to work for their food, or to survive. Northern Europeans fought fierce winters, frequently starved for lack of crops or one bad harvest, were tormented by bears and wolves even then, and basically had to invent all this shit just to survive.
It's not a foolproof hypothesis however.

Got the third for dirt cheap on PS4 during a sale. They made the big bad some dude from Dragon Age 2. Was a darkspawn, one of the original darkspawn. He wanted to go back to the black city and occupy the empty throne, because he saw it once and it was empty and he thought fuck it, this world needs a god so I'll be that god. Thought it was pretty badass. The gameplay isn't all that great, its mostly doing the same shit over and over again in fuckhuge maps. Some of the characters are annoying like the orc faced lesbo. She has some funny moments but its mostly annoying. Don't particularly like my female party memebers, Cassandra is alright, everyone else is a cunt. Diplomat lady seems nice I guess. I keep getting options to flirt with a cute dwarf scout but I doubt they added any romance to that character, shame too, she's the only one I like so far. Tons of dudes want to bang though so if you like dudes you're in for a good time.
I don't know where they're gonna go with the story, I'm at a part where the big bad is making the grey wardens summon an army of demons so they can march down to the deep roads and kill the old gods to prevent one becoming an archdemon effectively ending the blight once and for all but then there's an army of demons so I guess thats better than a blight? Only reason the grey wardens are doing this is because they hear what they call the calling which means they'll succumb to the darkspawn blood they drank and when that happens they usually go off into the deeproads alone to die fighting. Problem is they're all hearing it so they're scared and don't want to leave the world undefended from the blight.

Another observation I made is that the female archetypes were really harmless from a feminist standpoint. You have a strong female warrior (Cassandra), the annoying ugly-faced womanchild (Sera), the arrogant stuck up bitch ice queen (Vivienne) and the non-threatening proper lady (Josephine). None of them are ever sexualized (while Iron Bull and Dorian certainly are) like Morrigan or Isabella, none of them are old (Solas and Blackwall) like Wynne was and none of them had dark pasts (Dorian, Iron Bull, Solas, Cole) like Leliana, Merril and Isabela.
