What the hell? This game has so many bugs it makes south Africa look like Antarctica. I have the GOG version and so far there's two mods I've heard of that heavily fix the enormous bugs (like grappling enemies making you stuck in your turn forever). The Circle of Eight mod and Temple+. However, for a newbie, which one should I play? Temple+ works with Circle of Eight but I was thinking of just playing Temple+ because I want my first play to be as fresh/close to the original as possible. Also, I'm not sure I want to add all of the things CoE adds quite yet.

Can anyone offer any insight?

If im not mistaken dear anon The circle of eight has more vanilla version without the new scenarios i would recomend you go with it

No, that was Median XL and he stopped because he got a job working on PoE writing lore or some shit. Ultimative was the version(s) the next guy made (and it's a name he's now dropped because he correctly realised it's fucking stupid).

I was part of the Co8 community for years and ToEE is hands down (when fixed) the best of it's kind. I think the expanded stuff, that adds a couple of areas from the original module that wasn't ever planned to be released with the computer game is preety good and balanced. If your interested in playing a dnd module that can take you from level 1 upto lv14 or so (and who isn't? ) this is the real deal. If you can stop yourself from spending all your xp from enchanting weapons and armor..

The patch is easy to find just google ToEE circle of eight, torrent is easy to find too.

Bitch, the game has that faggot Book of Vile Darkness sword that gives you Death Knight powers to Ignore AC.

You can literally singlehandledly fuck Iuz and Zuggtmoy up with it as a Cleric of that Law War god or whatever, increase your size category, buff up, and immediately go to town on his whatever the fuck that lima bean from Xiaolin showndown who was based off of him was called.

Great. Yeah, I got Co8 but you can download the "standard" mod or all the expanded stuff. I just got the standard mod, but maybe I should get all the expanded stuff, with areas. Didn't know it was in the original ToEE DND module.
