Anon, do not feel bad about something like being shit at video games. Video games are meant as a way to pleasurably spend time, not as something to hone your skill at. Use it as such, and instead improve your skills at something worthwhile. Get into writing and write a good book. Learn how to draw. Learn a new language. Program something. There are countless ways one can develop himself while doing something worthwhile. Ways that can bring one great friends – I wrote fucking fanfiction as a hobby, and I've met incredible people along the way, some of which I am close friends with to this very day, while also learning how to tell shit prose from good (fanfics or not, I tried hard to hold myself up to high standards and consulted many textbooks and even authors). These things have use beyond simple killing of time, they develop you as a person, bring entertainment to others, grant you new knowledge.
So please, anon, whatever you do, do not feel bad about not being as great at videogames as before, because it is not an important skill to have (unless you start demanding games to be easier, at which point you should just kill yourself). Instead, focus on skills that actually bring you some profit in the long run, capiche?
