Just noticed that there has been quite a few VR Tank games released lately if you check steam

Literally all of them appear to be arcade. For what purpose would you make an arcade VR Tank game? Why is this genre that was good from the late 80's to very early 2000's struggling to produce anything good? I mean how hard can it be?

It's easier to make an arcade style game than it is a sim style game. This is all about just finding genres that are good for VR, games where your stuck in a small area and view everything through some type of monitor or periscope makes for a good VR setting. Expect to see submarine games too.

well, Ironwolf VR came out "recently" (early last year iirc) .

apparently from what i've heard it's just kinda okay and fun with friends

don't really know much else about it because VR is a shitty overpriced meme at the moment.

But don't they make simulator games only? It is not really my cup of tea, I tried Panzer Elite a few times on skirmish mode and I get rekt all the time. inb4 git gud Something along the lines like Recoil would be nice, its too bad this game doesn't comes with a map editor.

This is pretty much what happens for me all the time. The only mission I managed to finish was the defend the Berlin one from the Panzer Elite 3 mod.

Anon, git gud, we shouldn't be dumbing games down because you think they are hard, just stop being retarded and learn to angle your hull and fucking look around you. Also accept the fact that you will still die sometimes. I'm sick of modern game design doing everything in its power to prevent the play from feeling like a failure.

Well I didn't enabled the invulnerability mode function from the difficulty settings which I could have done and then do every mission that way :^)

The Tiger had amazing automotive performance and cross country capability anon. They could attack just as well as any allied tank, they just had the added luxury of being able to fuck anything up from 3km away.
