Furthermore, Nexon blamed PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds for LawBreakers’ low sales. According to the publisher, PUBG released at the same time with LawBreakers, something that had a huge – negative – impact to the sales of Boss Key’s shooter.
“Our results in North America in the third quarter were below our outlook, mainly due to the sales from LawBreakers being below our expectations. LawBreakers is a unique FPS developed for core users. We had very high expectations for its launch; however, the timing of its launch turned out to be unfortunate, specifically the blockbuster PC online game PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds came out right about the same time, making the market environment very tough for first-person shooters in general and for LawBreakers.”
Naturally this seems more like a PR statement than an honest opinion as PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds and LawBreakers are two entirely different first-person games.
It will be interesting to see what will happen to LawBreakers and whether Boss Key will be able to turn the tide!"

No talented person with merit is a leftist or becomes an SJW cuck. But some of them can always get deals behind the scenes where they pay for the true creators to never take credit, while they take all the credit for their works. In the long run, without information, it made some of them earn more than what they spent on said deals.
The japanese industry is full of this practice. I am certain that the western industry does this all the time, and only now we are starting to see it, as information is easily shared nowadays.
You can see other examples of this in No Man's Sky production, Keiji Inafune's shipwreck project "Mighty No. 9", and many others.
We are only starting to see the surface of all the corruption behind the "face of the company" meme that the mainstream media created, and that is crumbling as a result of them putting hacks above the true creators.
As for Carmack, the problem is that he is obsessed with pushing technology and nothing else. Some new techs are useless, and he does not see that. He just wants to push anything new, regardless of the usefulness, demand or even needs of the industry. New tech should always directly and promptly (as in the moment that it is released) improve on existing products. Not be forced into market just because it is new.
