There is really no saving GDQ, it's just too big now. GameJ06 did a Mario Lost Levels run, which was the best single-runner run of the event (Tetris was best overall). It was a fat black dude very skillfully running The Lost Levels and cracking jokes the whole time; it was unbelievably entertaining. He's been wanting to run NES Golf for a while and kept getting rejected, despite a lot of people wanting a Golf run (Golf has some weird tricks and is surprisingly entertaining as a speedrun). At the end of his Mario run, he held up a Golf cart and said something like "hey, here's hoping we get a Golf run next year, if you want to see it, get the word out so they know enough people want it"
