It's pretty easy to point out how AAA adventure games are becoming "paint by the numbers" in their formula of having RE4's camera, (possibly) cover mechanics, and having enemies running strictly in front you who you have to shoot and occasionally melee OR swinging your weapon around blindly and just press the right button when the game prompts you to. However, I'd like to know what third-person games turn these concepts on their head to create something unique, or throw them out the window and just do something completely different. I'm talking about games that do this strictly for the gameplay since you have some titles like Spec Ops: The Line which apparently do it to push it's "2deep4U" story.
