I've been enjoying The Division recently. I'm honestly surprised at myself for it. I tried the game out on one of the early free weekends, and it was garbage. Enemies were horrible sponges, and i didnt even make it to lategame (Where, like an MMO, most of the content is for some reason.)
I tried it out again during the free weekend earlier this month, and had a lot more fun. I don't know what changed, most of the new stuff added was MORE lategame shit, but enemies felt less spongy, and I'm fairly certain (But have no proof) that they did SOMETHING to the gunplay to make it less rubbish.
Either way i'm having fun now running all the level 30 content, having less fun getting ganked constantly in the Darkzone, but I cant really solve that without convincing a couple friends to get it. If anyone wants to play (On PC) let me know.
Though I know 90% of people still wont wanna get it, if you're on the fence feel free to ask me some questions, I'll be honest.

In the lategame PVE content like incursions enemies do have a fair amount of HP. With a level/gearscore appropriate weapon though, they don't take more than a magazine (Unless they're one of the "Tank" or "Heavy" enemies, then they can take quite a lot.) if you're using some garbage green though, yeah, good luck killing anything. Damage numbers inflate significantly once you hit 30.
Some degree of sponginess is kinda unavoidable with a game like this, but I don't feel like it's TOO overwhelming.

I would unironically love the Division more if it played exactly like a regular third person shooter. Even with the downgrade exploring the dark zone and stumbling on fucking mass graves while a blizzard is happening is pure aesthetic.

The loot grind is major BS they introduced these cool gear sets and finding those is not really hard but apparently since I just came back they had these events that dropped the same gear sets but were way better with even more stat bonuses and they had higher drop chances. Without those events it’s a fucking THREE PERCENT chance st getting this shit regularly.

This list is pointless because they all represent different branches with different skill-sets. Third Echelon is an intelligence agency, GST are special forces and Team Rainbow are counter-terrorism operatives.
I wouldn't trust GST to infiltrate a foreign consulate and extract key data without alerting a single person to their activities, but I also wouldn't trust Sam Fisher to reliably take down, in a 5-10 minute time window, a group of 30 or so armed and armored terrorists who have taken over a university and have been confirmed to be readying a chemical weapon for deployment on US soil.

From my perspective Fisher wouldn't be detected in the first place. The Division is essentially a cover based shooter raid party.
Rainbow Six would effectively defend or blow the hell out of the place in high coordinated fashion.
That leaves Ghost Recon as a wild card, because I admittedly have zero experience with that series.
