Get Ultimate Apocalypse mod. It adds 3 new races (Tyranids, Chaos Demons and Inquisition), a ton of new buildings, units and ability to level up commanders. The mod tends to crash when trying to play 8 player scenarios, and you're going to lose a lot of fps during bigger battles since the engine is outdated af.

There are a lot of people playing, just check out mod's Discord server and ask if anyone's up for a match (there's also patch for newest version that balances most broken stuff). Devs are very chill and actually listen to feedback.

Is there any mod that makes combat more deadly? Kinda like Blitzkrieg for CoH?

Ultimate Apocalypse is good for scale and new shit but arguably it pushes DoW into something it wasn't really meant to be.

Titanium Wars is a more restrained Ultimate Apocalypse with a lot of autism about bringing in obscure units from the tabeltop.

Firestorm over Kronous or Firestorm Over Kaurava or whatever it is nowadays is pretty great to but it really diverges from DoW and goes a bit more tabletop.

Oh and iirc Ultimate Apocalypse is campaign-compatible which is nice. I seem to remember it maybe having issues with the Necron Stronghold though.

There needs to be more legion race mods, and Primarch mods. Those don't seem to even exist. It would be amazing to bring all the primarchs back to the battlefield. Probably wouldn't be hard to create new "hero" characters if you already design things for the game.
