Open Xcom had a 40k total conversion, pretty much give you the same experience as Chaos Gate.
XCOM 2 had space marine helmets, weapons and voices but they don't suit any kind of armor, so they were shit.
Closest thing to 3d xcom-style game is space hulk, space hulk ascension and deathwatch, however they are map based tactical games.
To be honest Chapter Master in its idea was the ideal game for WH40k universe since it included everything it needs. All it needed to finish would be proper tactical ground battles and manual space battles and it would be greatest game ever, at least as a campaign of a chapter master.

I really wish there was a site to get good info on stats from DoW2.
Like when it says you get a buff for everyone when Thule kills a wraithguard for example, it doesnt give anymore information about how much and what you get.
Also if anyone still plays it like I do, max energy on Force Commander first, spamming the shout after you get the last perk removes energy costs on all skills other than ones drain it per second which makes for some really fun gameplay when you invest in energy on your other units so items become energy based instead of limited use.
