SSX3 is more polished and has a nice feature where you can ride down the mountain and choose whether to participate in events or just keep freeriding. Also lots of customization.

Tricky is still really fun and more challenging in terms of landing tricks IMO.

Overall I'd say 3, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't try Tricky as well. It has some great levels.

Same. Switching to a wingsuit midjump was pretty rad. The survival descents were a cool addition too. The whole game was definitely a lot different than the older ones, but still very enjoyable.

3 is the best hands down. Tricky is still fun though, especially if you just want more tracks.

There’s zero reason to touch any other ssx games, of course.

IIRC the GameCube version of 3 is the only one that does progressive scan and thus has the best visuals, other than that they are all comparable.

Shaun Palmer's Pro Snowboarder was better than any SSX title.

I fucking loved Tricky. SSX3 was nice too but I'm a big fan of Tricky's more arcade-like style, and monster tricks left a bad taste in my mouth since you could ignore penalties from repeating tricks with them.

I preferred SSX tricky because I found the levels to be absolutely wonkers as a kid. I had a lot of fun learning the shortcuts and slowly winning against the AI more and more. I think I played mostly as the big boy Luther because he might have had the best pushing stats or something, idk

The Gamecube version of Tricky is fucked because you only have 3 grab buttons instead of 4. Not sure about 3.

all xbox games except one game in its entire library do at least 480p.

I played 3 very briefly after renting it from a video store but I played Tricky way more so I'm very biased in my favoritism of Tricky.
