EuropaCorp is starting to approach writers and directors and plans to take the project out in 2018.

Europacorp is in production on Season 2 of Taken and coming off the sci-fi actioner Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets.

It's still good.
It's not as good as the first one, because they made the mistake of having similar scenes to the first one "but more". So you'll have a concert/rave scene that reminds you of the first one but also feels like a retread. Actual spoilers: The scenes that are fresh like the catacombs battle or John being hunted on the streets are pretty good examples.
For some reason it also has a lot more comic scenes than the first, found myself laughing a lot more often. I just hope that the third one puts an end to John Wick's story but doesn't fuck up the setting, so that it can be used.

I found the fight scenes in the second film to lack the strength and rhythm it had in the first. Also, there will be more films in the "Wick" universe. They have the third film coming out in mid-2019, they have a spin-off in the works that sounds a bit similar to Gunslinger Girl and/or Hanna (The current title for it is Ballerina), and a planned TV series centered around the hotel in the first film (Current title for it is The Continental).

One of the things that makes it so great is that the two story elements it does have, the plot twist at the end and the character of Jimmy, are both more well-executed than anything in big blockbuster hollywood movies. The twist might sound cheesy and ridiculous, which it is the part about it all being so the antagonist could use the footage from Henry to motivate a zombie army to fight, but it's clever because it justifies the fact that Henry was able to so much crazy shit and get away with it, since him getting away with it was the villains plan.
In that sense its the same as how all of the stormtroopers missing the protagonists in episode IV was justified since letting them escape to the rebel base was the Emperor's master plan.
Additionally, the one fleshed out character the movie had (Jimmy) was immensely entertaining in every scene he was in, a creative character idea a cripple who lives vicariously through clones he controls with a VR headset, and his death was pretty sad and well executed.
10/10, best action movie in years and not just because of the first-person gimmick.
