Yo-kai watch is very comfy game that has alot of exploration and little bits of hidden content. There are moments it can drag a bit though.

Shame no publisher was interested in bringing this one over, and the fan-translation is currently on hiatus until the person working on it gets a better grasp of Japanese (which will likely help the English script quality, but still).

But yeah, not sure why no one thought the west would want that game (especially given that Atlus owned the rights in Japan, and have a native NA branch), beyond it being a late DS title and not part of an established series.
