I had Vice City laying around on my PC for a while and I decided to play it since it's one of the few 3D GTAs I've never beat and damn, it's fucking fun.
I love the solid character feeling of older GTA games, as opposed to the fucking jelly feeling characters from IV and V, but there's more to the game than that.
You can clearly see that whoever made the game had fun making it. It wasn't made to be a money making scheme, it wasn't made to virtue signal, it wasn't made to be famous, it wasn't made to be the next call of duty. It was simply made to be a fun game and it excels in that. Both the gameplay and the story that doesn't take itself super seriously while still being believable benefit from that, making it an all around fun experience.
The missions are also fun as fuck. Escaping from a police chopper and having FIB cars coming out of nowhere while sideways in your car with the 4 wheels busted listening to pic related and just barely making it made the game enjoyable as fuck.
Since IV cuckstar has gone full "Remove offensive, remove unrealistic. You want fun? There's a sand dick easter egg at the beach, you kids like that, right?", turning into just another no fun allowed corporation. Their newer games just lack the feeling that made SA and older feel good.
What are your favorite games that you can tell the devs enjoyed making? Either because of interviews or because you can feel it on the game.
